Father’s Day 🥹
It’s always a mixed bag for me - a celebration of my husband (pictured with my youngest in lockdown) for being a dad to my children, but also, a reminder that I didn’t get time to make those precious memories with my dad 😔
My dad sadly passed away 29 years ago. I don’t have many photos of us together, and it’s probably why I try to take lots as reminders when I spend time with people I love now.
I remember feeling quite lost and unsure how I was “supposed” to feel. It took me a long time to figure out that any feeling was valid, and it was “ok” to go through a rollercoaster of sad, angry, upset and repeat while I tried to navigate the process 🙏
It’s part of the reason I’m passionate about what I do and supporting others who’ve experienced loss in any way ❤️
Father’s Day can be difficult for many people, for a number of reasons.
However you’re spending it, I hope you enjoy the day 🥰
Great advice we all need reminding of sometimes 🙏
Yup. We can't do it all, sometimes we have to pick and choose what's the most important thing at the time!

There is no better time to start a conversation with your child about mental health. Here are some questions you can ask to get the conversation going.
Another reason I love this fantastic intervention 🙌
I’ve been trained by Cath in all the courses I’ve completed, and I’m looking forward to learning more about how I can support clients like Pru too 🤩
Today we are delighted to be featured in the Mail on Sunday as part of an interview with Timothy West & Prunella Scales
Recently Pru has been supported with weekly therapeutic sessions that have been helping. The article explains
“Called Drawing And Talking, the 12 one-to-one weekly sessions Pru has with a trained practitioner involve sketching whatever she likes, sometimes with a prompt, on a piece of paper and then talking about the doodle.
The aim is to delve back into her memories and let her explore not just the past, but how she is feeling now.”
According to Cath Beagley, the CEO of Drawing And Talking, the sessions can help fight the isolation that many dementia patients experience because of the difficulty communicating with those around them.

I’ve been considering my own wellbeing this year, and making sure I take time to rest after a busy start 🙏
Tonight, I was treated to a wonderfully relaxing sound bath experience thanks to Sound and Ground
I loved my affirmation card so much, I took a photo to share 🥰
This photo is a mood for sure!
My kids are taking it in turns to be poorly the past few weeks 🥴 but that also gives us a chance to slow down, recharge and have some rare extra cuddles 🥰
I also finished some sessions with regular clients, left my position at a local school, prepare to start a new position with the local authority AND start some new regular clients 🙌 so this is a great chance for me to take stock and maintain balance 😌
What’s your mood this week?
Wow!
A new month and the final month of the year 😬
This photo sums up my month ahead - planning, lots of activities and enjoying the festivities 🌲
It’s also a month of balance for us all, and being mindful of making sure we don’t stretch ourselves too much (money, space and time wise 🙏)
What does December bring for you?
This is what I feel like recently 🥶
The change of season has me sorting out my wardrobe and wearing cosy socks to bed 🧦
But it also brings me one step closer to a festive break with my family 🥰 so I always welcome it 🙏
What does the change of seasons mean to you? ❄️
So pleased to see this 🙌
My family have benefitted from multiple events funded by BBC Children in Need due to their disabilities and as young carers, and I’ve had the pleasure of running projects in the past within the community I worked which were funded by them 🤩
So pleased to see this total which can help support so many people 🥹

It’s been a busy week for me, so today has been spent planning and organising 🙌
From next month, I will only have availability on a Tuesday - amazing for my practice, but also, a reminder for me to be as organised as possible to ensure I stay balanced 😌
What do you do to help you stay organised? 📔
It’s anti bullying week, and today, it’s silly socks day 🙃 🧦
I love that so many schools now focus on the message behind this, and talk to students about how to look after their health and well-being 😊
My girls are taking part in the Girl-guiding parade tomorrow too at our local church and memorial garden 🌺
Happy hump day ❤️
I’m thankful to have spent the day with my sister and nephew today 🥰 they took me for an early birthday treat, to a festive fair in London, pizza lunch and looking around the shops and sights 🤩
It was really lovely to spend the day laughing and catching up with them and having a different day of self care 😊
What’s your wonderland?
We watched the fireworks in our village last night, cosied up on my bed in the dark 👀 There was something quite magical about watching my children’s faces and hearing their “wow” when they saw them 🥰
The eldest is studying history at A level now, so finding out more about the meaning behind the 5th November is a massive interest for them 🤔
Have you been to, or are you going to, any displays? 🎆
It’s international stress awareness week, so I couldn’t let the week pass without a post dedicated to things that might help if you’re feeling stressed ❤️
Will you be celebrating all things spooky today? 🎃
I’m very lucky to have friends who support me in so many ways 🥰
Spending time with them is often tricky to arrange, but so worth it when we’re able to see each other 🤩
Who’s in your corner?
A friend told me recently, that her friend had sent her this quote ❤️
I thought it was lovely, and a good reminder for when we might feel overwhelmed and get a bit caught in the moment 🤔
Happy Monday 👋
It’s the start of a week off for me and my family 🙌 me and hubby will be kicking it off with taking some time for ourselves, by visiting a spa and golf resort today 🧖🏼♀️
The children are excited to have time with grandparents, where they get to craft and play all day 🤩
We’re all prioritising our self care a little more so we can be well rested 😌
How do you choose to relax when you get downtime?
Happy Sunday 👋
Me and my kids are off to see the Taylor Swift Eras tour at the cinema today 🎵
We made our friendship bracelets, and of course I had to have one with my practice name (also a TS song in case you didn’t know) 🌳
Any Swifties out there seen the show yet?
Always great advice from YoungMinds 💛
After today, it’s half term for me and my family 🙌 and that also includes my husband taking a well deserved break too!
We’ve had a full on start to the academic year, so we’re are all looking forward to getting what we need from the break.
A trip to a spa, a hair cut and a catch up with friends is on the cards for me to help me with self care 🥰
