The founder of chiropractic once said; “There is a vast difference between treating the effects, and adjusting the cause”
Let me explain what this means.
There’s a huge “quick fix mentality” these days. From detox diets to healthcare trends and fads, there is a market for improving health in the quickest way possible.
This is why it is easy to reach for a quick fix pain killer whenever pain occurs. While these can mask the symptoms, it doesn’t actually get to the core of the problem.
While a quick fix may offer short-term relief, it also means that the root cause of pain is being left untreated, uncared for and can ultimately get worse (depending on what is going on, of course).
This may lead more pain in the future.
Let’s not forget too that many of the quick fix solutions for pain that we use often can create issues and side effects of their own too. Wouldn’t it just be easier to get on top it all from the start?
The problem with quick-fixes such as painkillers is that taking them can fast become a habit.
This habit is not only about taking the painkiller, but also for reaching for quick fixes, that never really target the solution.
As a result, our mindset and relationship with pain can change so we feel utterly trapped by pain, where actually it’s how we are dealing with it that’s the issue.
Spending the time making longer term solutions can help you to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Choose, the longer term solution now! Your health is your most valuable possession. Give it the care, attention and effort it deserves.

Your spine is arguably one of the most precious and important structures of your entire body, and should be treated as such.
It protects the spinal cord, it is the highway of communication between your brain and every single function your body performs.
We all know an issue with the spinal spinal cord has the potential to cause major changes in the health of your body, so here are a few daily habits to help you take care of it at home.
Movement - When your spine stops moving, is when degeneration starts. This can cause arthritic changes that can irritate or even damage the nerves in your spine. So each day take your spine through 4 deliberate motions. Do this for your neck and your back.
- Bend all the way forward, towards the ground
- Bend all the way back, towards the sky
- Twisted the right
- Twist to the left
Try this 3-5 times morning and evening to keep your spine moving!
Hydrate - The human brain is made up of 73% water, our muscles are made up of 79% water, and our bones, 31%.
Water is an absolute essential to allow your body to function, and heal to its best ability. Don’t skip this one!
Walking - Your body is designed to move, regardless of the ability and distance you can currently cover. If you sit still for too long, it can have a dramatic impact on the health of your spine. Take time to walk daily, ideally 30 minutes.
I know you may be thinking “This all seems like a lot of effort”, but answer me this; can you put a price on keeping your body as healthy as it can be for the rest of your life?
