Norfolk & Suffolk Boating Association Champion-of-Champions Inter-Club Racing for Ramuz Trophy This annual end of season Inter Clubs event for The Broads Area took place on Saturday 21st September, at Wroxham Broad, by kind permission of Norfolk Broads Yacht Club.

Congratulations Chris Pank & Ali Clabburn for winning the Ramuz Trophy Inter Club Competition this weekend on behalf of NBYC. Thanks to NSBA for running the racing, and thanks to the UEA for use of their Firefly dinghies 👏

If you’re not entertained enough already, you can catch the last half n hour of .entertainment We have the YBOD fleet out on the water and a whole raft of dinghies and keelboats heading out at 16.00. To finish the RCC will be enjoying a sundowner race at 17.55…and finally Duggers quiz to round the day off! ⛵️🥳

Duggers Quiz is on in the Clubhouse this evening, There will be a hatch supper served from the galley, with both Beef & Veggie Chili and Jerk Chicken available. Food available from 6.30pm, quiz to follow.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be w**d cutting machinery on the broad this weekend in preparation for the busiest period of our racing season.
All sailors should be aware that this machinery is slow moving and has limited manoeuvrability so should maintain a sensible distance between themselves and the barge.

While the emphasis of this w**d cutting will be around the swing moorings, the barge will occasionally move to the island to deposit the w**d that has been removed from the broad.

We have made strenuous efforts over some months to identify the owner of each item and for those identified we have tried to take payment - without success. It is understood that in law the club is now permitted to sell these items to recover outstanding fees and the cost of trying to locate the original owner.

Any person who believes an item listed here is their property may reclaim this by submitting evidence of title to the office before the closing date (14th June 2024).

Full instructions on submitting a bid and the terms and conditions of the auction, are included on page 5 of the catalogue. The closing date for bids is June 14th 2024.
