💯 For me my mental health trumps the lot.
Yes even my daughter. Why?
❤️ Because for me to show up for her and be the best mum I can be, she needs to see me modelling prioritising caring for my mental health, so she learns to do the same.
✋🏼Sometimes people start therapy and are actually subconsciously looking for an excuse to stop because it doesn’t offer a dopamine rush, or the instant sense of gratification which we all expect and seek in the modern world.
💡It’s often a slow process which gradually unfolds and along the way various light bulb moments lead to life changing moments, a sense of freedom and deep satisfaction.
🤬 Within that there are times when people feel stuck, unsure why they are there when they’re having a good day, or triggered by a feeling such as anger or shame and all of these can be an excuse to run away (flight response) or check out.
💷 ⏰ However more often than not the excuse to stop is usually lack of time and/or money. When it’s money, people simply have decided that their mental health is no longer a priority.
🍔🌭🍕Some people choose to spend a excessive amount of money on food, snacks and take-aways per week, yet will choose to keep the same level of spending, rather than budget to find a way to carry on with therapy.
👄👩🏻🦰 🩼 Having Botox or fillers for cosmetic reasons can be more of a priority than mental health for some women, as they assume that if they ‘look better’ they will feel better.
🩹That’s true to a certain extent, however it’s a band aid, it doesn’t heal and help on the inside because despite what we are led to believe in a society obsessing about appearance, we can run from, but not hide from our traumas.
⚠️ High levels of stress, anxiety and CPTSD will still be present and manifesting in people pleasing, perfectionism, other OCD behaviours and coping strategies.

Wondering if subconsciously she might be tempted to say me, as I had given her the card in that moment….

Yaaas! She knows! 🥰 Super proud mummy moment. I love that she knows that her self love is more important than any amount of love I can give her
If you’re NOT genuinely happy being single, then you’re lacking self love.
Here’s a few red flags.
You….
🚩 … feel like you need someone to add value and purpose to your life
🚩 … feel bitter and resentful that past relationships haven’t worked out
🚩 … can’t sit contentedly in your own company for long periods of time without feeling bored or distracting yourself with your phone or tv, alcohol, drugs etc..
🚩 … feel better about yourself, when you’re in a relationship
🚩 … want to feel needed and loved
🚩 … have a list of things you want to do ‘when you find the right person’
🚩 … make yourself ‘over busy’ or ‘people please’
When you feel self love then you still have moments of feeling lonely, sad, empty and times when you feel a desire and longing to share intimate and life moments with someone, however you recognise that they are feelings, that you honour and allow to pass.
Self love is one of THE most hardest things to nurture, especially if you have had a critical parent with high expectations of you.
I felt a deep hatred for myself as a child. It was a visceral loathing for as young as I can remember. Despite being abused, I believed I was evil (that’s what I was told) and a flawed human. I was full of shame and disgust. My heart breaks and aches for that little girl. I would never want anyone to feel the way I feel. This is why I’m so passionate about what I do and why every day I choose to be a cycle breaking parent for Edith.
Inner Child Healing is hands down, in my personal and professional experience the most effective way to generate self love and acceptance.
It’s taken me over 40 years to finally love and accept myself at every stage of my life journey. That’s come from choosing to learn, heal and live my life with authenticity and congruency.

❓Are you struggling to ‘Forgive, let go of anger and move on’ from someone or something that has hurt you?
🧘♀️I spent years thinking that I had to do this for my own emotional well-being and felt so frustrated and angry with myself (ironically) that I seemed to be failing miserably despite various attempts at the Buddhist metta bhavna (loving kindness) meditation.
🧐Then the penny finally dropped. I recognised that forgiveness, although virtuous and liberating, can’t be forced, and the lack of it doesn’t mean you can’t grow and emotionally evolve as a human being.
💡 The lightbulb moment for me was the realisation that it wasn’t about letting go of anger and forgiving, but about learning how to feel it and compassionately inviting it to present itself fully without judgment whilst sitting with the discomfort and unease, and loving and accepting myself wholly in those moments.
There is no such thing as someone who doesn’t have anger, there are only people who suppress it. Hence why serial killers can be the most least suspecting quietest, calmest people in society.
🤬 Anger is a healthy emotion that is valid and can be used as a driver for positive change.
🔑 The most important thing is that we don’t allow ourselves to get stuck, become bitter and wallow in self pity and victimhood. If you believe that you are a victim then you have created the limiting belief that you are powerless and you will perpetuate situations to affirm this.
🚩 If anyone is feels sorry for you or pities you, whether that’s your kids, romantic partner, friends, or family… it’s a sign you’re projecting victimhood.
❤️ It’s never too late to step into your power. I can help.
➡️ Feelings are not linear, there is no definitive beginning or end.
🤯 They are expansive, scary, overwhelming and frustrating, however the key is to allow them to flow, to move, to release, then welcoming all of them back when they present themselves again and again.
🥅 The goal when I’m working with people is not to stop them feeling, but to help them own, manage, experience and move through their feelings to build emotional resilience so that their feelings don’t keep them stuck in a rut.

Doing dry January is a sign that you have a toxic relationship with alcohol. Fact. And if you’re feeling triggered or curious by this, then read on, this message is for you…
How many people will now binge drink this weekend for what they believe they have lacked? Most people who didn’t will. Why? Because it’s a marketing ploy designed to keep you drinking to excess!
Doing dry January is a sign that you feel you ‘need’ alcohol to have fun, socialise, celebrate, because the suns out, you’re on holiday plus 1,000,000 more reasons we create to excuse the amount of alcohol people consume.
This is the myth, the lie, a limiting belief that’s been passed down from our parents/caregivers and other adults from when we were kids, that adults drink alcohol because they need it. It’s just part of life.
The self sabotage that inevitably follows a drinking session, the low mood, low energy, binge eating, hang overs, lie ins, anxiety, blackouts, drunken fall outs, falling over, drunken unsafe s*x is all a source of mirth and sadly just accepted as the norm.
Yup kids learn all this really well and the cycle continues to the next vulnerable generation.
I’m not suggesting if you do Dry January you’re an alcoholic, a binge drinker, or even alcohol dependant, however it’s a sign you’re psychologically dependent! Here’s why…
If you had a healthy relationship with alcohol (a take it or leave it kind of vibe) then you wouldn’t feel the need to do ‘dry January’ in the first place!
Hence I’m not going to offer praise for anyone believing that having 30 days AF is a life achievement. It’s highlighting a problem.
I will however invite you to consider this… there is a freedom when you let go of the limiting belief that you hold that you need alcohol in your life. I know because I’ve done it. I did AF for almost 2 years and now it’s one or two occasionally.

Edith is one the main reasons I invest so heavily in my healing journey, so I can break the cycle of family dysfunction for her.
January can be challenging for many people for various reasons and it can be full of challenges, expectations and pressures to make different choices, commit to resolutions and have a positive outlook for the year ahead.
The problem with this is that it can be so overwhelming that we can feel worse to the point we end up feeling like a failure and doing nothing or even worse setting ourselves up to fail by making resolutions we know we can’t keep giving us a reason to keep on feeling a failure.
I am going to be straight with you, there’s never a good time to start your therapy journey, and if you’ve started there’s never a good time to stop, as there’s always bits of maintenance work along the way. As Nike would say, just do it! Just start. Every little bit you do will move you a bit further forwards in your healing journey.
Maybe you’ve had therapy before and it hasn’t worked for you, or maybe it has, however you feel you don’t want to go back to it. Maybe you didn’t connect with your therapist or perhaps the therapy style wasn’t right for you, or you’ve gone as far as you can with a particular type of therapy and are curious what else there is out there. Perhaps you’ve been avoiding it thinking you can manage on your own or that it’s not the ‘right time’ for financial or emotional reasons.
Whatever your personal situation if you’re not where you want to be in your life right now, in regards to your life, relationships and mental health, I may be able to help.
Therapy is a journey and not a destination. So it’s important to embrace the process and take your time. In the past the therapy I have personally had includes; counselling, psychotherapy, CBT, NLP, hypnotherapy, inner child healing, EFT to name but a few. Most of these have helped me in some way all bar a few therapists I didn’t connect with.
Hands down the most transformative for me both personally and professionally with my clients has been combining Inner Child Healing with hypnotherapy. I’ve created my own unique technique and script for this.
I do this is in a such a way that even if you have one session you will feel a little bit lighter and nourished.
During a session with me I will guide you to generate a little bit of self love and compassion.

1. Invite all of your feelings to present themselves
2. Honour them, by thanking them and owning them
3. Sit with any discomfort and breathe as you surrender to them
4. Connect to, and be fully aware of your body and how the feelings manifest themselves physically
5. Allow them to flow, to move through you and pass. They can only do this if you don’t block the flow. Fighting blocks whilst surrender flows.
Your feelings are valid, and they will pass.
If you feel blocked doing this then maybe that’s the time to reach out for help.

Whilst I have spent years helping other professionally and personally with their relationships, I have spent most of my adult life single.
In fact between the ages of 20 and 48 I have had only 6 relationships with only half of those lasting more than a year.
It was only during lock down when I trained in inner child healing that I understood why I had made such terrible choices in men and been single for so long. Consistently going for emotionally unavailable, emotionally abusive narcissistic men, who I believed I could save (stuck in the drama triangle) eventually being the one to walk away, I would feel I had failed.
Failed to make someone love me enough, even when they fell drastically short of my expectations. This was a very familiar pattern for me. Wanting to feel loved and validated and not feeling loved, seen, heard or valued.
I didn’t know that I needed to truly love and accept myself (with my faults), and know my own worth.
The penny dropped in 2020 when I read a book during training for my diploma in Inner Child Healing, called Will I Ever Be Good Enough by Dr Karen McBride and I recognised the dysfunction in my family, in particular my emotionally unavailable and neglectful parents which meant I had subconsciously sought out people to make me feel the same way as I had in childhood. Not good enough. Not loveable. It was a game changer for me. My life made sense.
That was when the real journey of self healing and breaking dysfunctional family generational trauma cycles became my mission.
Combining Inner Child Healing with a hypnosis script has had a profoundly positive affect on my clients, and also with me personally.
Generating self love and compassion is key. No one is going to fill your cup for you. Only you can do this. And this is what I’m passionate about helping others do.
