'The most exciting emerging trend since I started working in the tattoo industry almost 10 years is the scope of what is available to clients looking for a unique piece of artwork. Tattooing has come a long way from picking a design off a wall and tattoo artists are actively encouraged to create pieces of art rather than those classic designs. [] Many clients have now become “art collectors” which is a very positive thing to see as tattooing is finally starting to be appreciated as an art form in its own right.'

We delved into the evolution of tattoo artistry with and her studio at Alma Yard. More in our stories 📩

What is Cara Artist?

We’ve seen increasingly more creatives setting up a digital portfolio on . In the last few weeks alone, the app has exploded in popularity, with the number of graphic designers, artists and digital creators migrating their artwork onto the platform having skyrocketed.

The platform, whose USP is that it “filters out generative AI images so that people who want to find authentic creatives and artwork can do so easily”, allows designers and clients to connect with each other. Although it has been praised for how it seeks to protect original and unique arts, the platform has recently been in some hot water for the implication that it favours certain artistic styles over the others.

Are you a designer with a Cara profile? Let us know how it’s working for you.
