Repost for
As part of the second Travelling Museum Project we are looking for 'community advocates' from each community to come along on a series of trips and to have conversations with lots of different community archives to help build knowledge and understanding for our project. (which will eventually lead to us making our own community archive)

We are starting with a trip to The Box archives on 29th May and there are 20 spaces to fill for this. You are welcome to come along on this first trip to the archives to learn a bit more about the project before signing up as an advocate.

Are you a resident of the Stonehouse and Devonport area? Do you have children in primary school and are free during the May half-term holiday? If yes, then we have some exciting news for you.

We are organising an opening ceremony for our literacy area at Stonehouse Creek. You and your children can enjoy various free activities, including story time, bug hunts, word searches, story writing, bug bingo and bug hotel making. While you are there, we will be providing free food and drinks for everyone.

Our literacy area opening ceremony is all about promoting the importance of reading and how it can be fun for children. You can also meet Mushy the Mushroom and learn about Wacky Forests.

So, mark your calendars and visit us at Stonehouse Creek to enjoy some free entertainment and learn a thing or two about the joy and benefits of reading.
