I've always loved exercising my body, dancing was a huge part of my life growing up - so when I tried Pilates for the first time I was instantly hooked. I felt so much positive energy after a class, which kept me coming back time and time again. After attending regular classes I noticed my strength increasing, my joints were more mobile and my abs had never been better! I think it is important for

Camino Inglés Day 6 : to Santiago our final stop!✨
⏰Mum, Jen and I set off early this morning as we were keen to get walking and see the sunrise…absolutely 0 sunrise as the mist was quite something!! But we loved the steady walk and had a lovely morning all the same chatting and musing and enjoying the fresh morn!
🌳The walk was mainly woodland and steady climbs! But we all had the end in sight and we’re looking forward to the final hurdle!!
✨ We all met again with 6km to go! The last part of the journey was fairly quiet but became more and more civilised - no more wild wees for us!
⛪️After an hour or so… we finally arrived in SANTIAGO!✨ We we’re greeted by bagpipes (a Galician tradition), Mum & Dads Camino pals from their previous in 2019, Charles and Wendy (which was so lovely!) and crowds of people celebrating their arrival after their Camino’s from various start points!! It was scorching sun again and it felt emotional as we came to the end of an amazing week together.
✨We had a drink and tapas to celebrate and soon after checked in at our beautiful hotel!! Which is absolutely beautiful.♥️
👣 I’ve treated everyone to a tea tree foot mask which was quite the surreal experience 😂… (last pic) after the initial feeling I had mainly positive feedback, thanks !👌
🙏 Thank you so much again - your messages have kept us going, your donations so generous and we’ve had a week together and our first Camino together we will never forget. Love you family. ♥️✨

Camino Inglés Day 5 👣 …13 miles to our next stop, Següeiro.
😴 After yesterdays epic hike we were all feeling a little tired and hungry this morning. Our hotel was super basic (but fine) but it did mean bfast was just a bit of fruit and some stale bread 😭. Nevermind, off we trotted- it was a magical morning outside. 🪄
☀️The sun was shining, the air was fresh and there was a layer of mist hanging just above the fields. 💫
🐓We passed chickens, horses, ponies and lots more farms - every place seems to have a slightly intimidating dog on guard! But we’ve all survived so far.😅🐶
🪵The woodland walks were really picturesque and we were all happy with the flatter terrain and trails today. We stopped mid morn for a quick coffee ☕️ and continued on! We’ve all become very comfortable with our wild wees - some of us more discreet than others.😂
🦜It was amazing to walk along and listen to birdsong between our pit stops and chattering. Today (and yday) we were totally immersed in nature for the most part and it made us all feel grateful to be here.
🥪We stumbled across a small village with a cafe late morning and here we picked up ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch.. they seriously know how to do sourdough bread around here!👌 We found a sunny picnic spot around midday, enjoyed munching, seeing the local farmers 🚜 out working and passing other pilgrims.
🎵We sat here and played a couple of songs which reminded us of Nathan.💙 It was a special moment for all of us and a natural time to reflect.✨
💚 The second half of our walk was still along trails and countryside, it soon became very hot! This made it a pretty challenging hike so we took regular stops to rehydrate and check in with our mindsets!🤪
👣 Our feet were becoming heavier towards the end and after 13 miles we reached our hotel for the night. It’s a cute family run hotel in the middle of pretty much nowhere! Just outside Següeiro. It has a cute garden with a robot lawn mower, Sun loungers and a giant padding pool. Sadly not filled or we’d be in there.

✝️ Our last day walking is tomorrow! We will walk together into Santiago on Easter Saturday.

Camino Inglés Day 4 : Betanzos to Hospital de Bruma
🌅Beautiful sunrise this morn! Very simple bfast and off we go for our longest hike yet, 20 miles! Mum, Dad, Jen get a head start and E&B and I follow shortly after.
🫔 Successful stop at the Panadería to pick up fresh empañadas for lunch.
🌲Steep inclines to set the tone for the day. All in good spirits and great to have Jen with us.💜
🙋🏻‍♂️Many more pilgrims on route, we’re making some pals along the way. Anna (Spanish) and Otoño (Mexican) feature heavily - we’ve bumped into them a lot over the last couple of days! Everyone says Hola! / Buen Camino! 🇪🇸
We passed through beautiful villages and countryside, the views were incredible as we got higher into the mountains. We all took time to walk with each other and thought Nath would have loved the walk with us today too.👣
☕️ We found a cute spot for coffees mid morn and a chat with other pilgrims and then not too long after we stopped around midday for lunch as we were all starving! Amazing empañadas and refreshing drinks from a welcoming little cafe in the hills. Lots of other pilgrims doing the same and the sun was beating down on us.☀️
🐴 We went on to pass many more farms, and came across some flat between more inclines - which were warmly received! We played a little Bob Marley along the hard bits to help jeer us on, he was one of Nathan’s faves so it only felt right. 🎶 Fleetwood Mac also helped as did a little Chris Stapleton - thank you for the music. 🎶✨
👣 We started to feel the feet around 16 miles and wondered when we might be stopping! We found a little cafe/bar (they’re all v similar) with the most incredible barmaid who insisted we had stools to rest our tired feet, flan biscuits (mum missed the sherry!) and we had a well deserved 🍻 too! This was also a good point to get our pilgrim passports stamped! Everyone is so friendly towards the pilgrims along the way! 💙
🥵We had to add another 7k to get to our hotel 🏨.. The sun was scorchio, the landscape was epic however this was rather long!! By the end we were all happy to see the hotel - especially Jen whose first day was quite the adventure, she was AMAZING!

Camino Inglés Day 3 ✨🌳🐴
⛰: HILLS. We can safely say we deserve our cervezas this eve after a long day of mostly inclines that got our hearts racing and legs aching! 14 miles completed to Bentanzos and muchos rain too! ☔️
🌲 Our uphill walk out of Pontedeume was SO steep but pretty! Then onto a woodland walk that was also very pretty and also very wet but morale was mostly(!) high and we met more pilgrims along the way!
🌲We all loved the herbal, minty smell of the eucalyptus trees, the bark peels and releases the smell. There were so many.👌
☕️ We came upon a cute little cafe just under halfway where we stopped for a mini break. We bumped back into our US pals we met on Day 1. The cafe was very friendly and Spanish, they were playing spiritual/relaxing music and there were lots of other pilgrims popping in/out for coffee too!
☀️The second half of our walk was much warmer and brighter but still as hilly! 😅
🥖We passed through a town where we bought our bocadillos for lunch and then found an awesome spot by a beach where we sat and enjoyed them! We spotted some rainbow trout in the estuary and some oyster shells on the beach! 🐚
🐴We were very much in the countryside after lunch and came across lots of small villages and farms. We also stumbled across some random supplies the locals leave out for pilgrims - Dad enjoyed a beer 🍺, cheers Gaz!
🙋‍♀️I had a solo walk for an hour or so at the end which I really enjoyed too. I took lots of photos of the landscapes, villages, animals I met along the way. 🐾 It was nice to have some thinking time though I did get lost as I got a bit too carried away with my photography but luckily I must have stood out from a mile as a local Spaniard man kindly interrupted me and sent me back in the right direction.😆
♥️
🌄After regrouping with mum and Dad we arrived to meet E&B for a post hike reconvene and refreshments before visiting the local church, getting a stamp added to our pilgrim passport and lighting a 🕯 for Nathan. 💙

Tomorrow is longer and more hilly but we have gained an extra, as Jen joins. Wish us luck 🍀!

Ps the last pic is us lunging out of town. 😂

Camiño Inglés : Day 2 🥾
🌦Today brought changeable weather perfect for the stylish ponchos sported by Mum, Dad and Em and I tried and tested my new waterproof which passed with flying colours! We hiked a total of 12.5 miles today, legs feeling good. 🙌
♥️ Loved the small Spanish villages we walked through with flags and decorated Camino signs for us to followed en route. Our breakfast croissants / coffees kept us going for miles! 🥐☕️
🌳We managed to lose Mum and Dad this morn after a pit stop and a mis-communication to find they were ahead of us after having been waiting for them to catch us up! 😂 We all walked together again this afternoon which was a pretty walk through woodlands, villages and Spanish towns.
🐴 Lots more nature and wildlife to hear and see too which was awesome, the views were beautiful and we had some hefty hills to climb which felt good.👌
✝️We stumbled across a few places to get our Camino shells today (see pics 2&8), we picked up one each and one for Nathan. 💙 The Scallop Shell is known as a symbol of direction along the Camino, pointing pilgrims towards Santiago as well as identifying other pilgrims who wear them on route. The lines on the shell all stand for different paths which ultimately all finish in one destination (Santiago)… this of course significant for more reasons than one!
🌊Our walk finished in a medieval town called Pontedeume which has cosy streets, churches, fish markets and many cafés! We’ve enjoyed settling in here for a few tipples and pinchos and dinner later this evening. Lots of Spanish families on their holidays here too.✨

We’re all eagerly awaiting the arrival of Jenna tomorrow evening! Can’t wait to see you sis!💗

Camiño Inglés : Day 1 ✨
🥾Today we walked 9.5 miles from Ferrol to Narón!
☕️ Relaxed start to the day with coffee in the sunshine after getting our Camino passports stamped for the first time and exploring Ferrol!
☀️The Camino route was pretty easy as mostly flat today and the weather was warm and bright for us too.
🇪🇸Loving listening to the others speak Spanish, Em and Ben are so good and teaching me the local lingo so I am practising a little as I go along too! 😉
🙋‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️We met 3 other pilgrims from the U.S who were carrying all their overnight luggage etc and jealous of our modest day bags! I felt quite smug after being in their position last year in Scotland!😆
🥗We enjoyed a very long late lunch - no rushing over here(!) and then I made the most of some free time with some fave self care activities…Post nap, a read, bath and short pilates session we finished today with Menu del día at the hotel we’re in this eve! 💚 Excited for Jenna to join us on Weds eve!

thank you for your amazing help organising our trip so far.✨

04/04/2022

The countdown is on! This time next week me and my awesome family will be walking the Camiño Inglés (English Way) in northern Spain - 116km in total over 5 days. We’re walking in memory of Nathan, my older bro who we lost 10 years ago this Thursday. He’ll be in our thoughts the whole way. I warmed up my legs last week here… the 1 (out of 5 days!) sunny day in Spain! 😉🥾☀️ Looking forward to more of these views next week.👌 We are fundraising for and I’ve linked the fundraising page in my bio, we’re overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity - thank you. 💙

✨Wishing each and everyone of you a very happy Christmas!✨

After just reading this, I thought it was very apt and worth sharing as a snippet of wisdom for your Christmas Day. 🤍

“As a gift to all those who have been good to you, don’t complain; act. Don’t criticise, cheerlead. Don’t confirm; live your truth. Don’t be selfish; serve. Don’t take the easy path; strive for growth and an extraordinary life. And when things are falling apart, stay true to the best of who you are.“ 🤍

Introducing the…Candlestick🕯✨! As my Advanced exam fast approaches it’s been key to fully understand and feel the intention of each of the exercises in the advanced repertoire before attempting to teach them. With regular classes and 121 attention it’s been amazing to see and feel my body get stronger and understand how the different exercises all relate across the different pieces of classical equipment. Having assisting me in this exercise meant staying connected, focused and in the correct positioning throughout so to gain the full effects of this crazy exercise! I still have to tweak it… but it’s getting there. Thanks Stace! 121 sessions are a real game changer (for total beginners to advanced pilates bodies) when it comes to personal goals, so if you’re keen to play in the pilates studio and get really strong - come and see me in Finchley on Sundays 💪🙌

17/11/2021

Ever tried classical Pilates?💪Well, this is a Tower class and that piece of equipment you can see, is your tower! We are using the springs on the tower for resistance to both strengthen and lengthen our spine and leg muscles - the stretching is something else! I wish you could see my facial expression..😅 Keen to give it a try? 👏 Now teaching every Sunday in North Finchley and it’s the *best* way to start a Sunday!💫 Come and find me. 🚀
