Less than a week to go until the Dorset Doddlers Stur Half & 5K! This year we have entrants coming from The Netherlands, Ireland and France! Thats on top of all the entries both locally and all over the country! Still time to enter both the Half and the 5K.
Not long to go to the Stur Half and 5K...have you signed up yet? Once again our 5K is a fun run, open to all (under 13s to be accompanied by an adult). We are also donating all entry fees from the 5K to the Vale Pantry. If you havent entered yet there's still time!
Heres the first edition of the race results - please check and let me know any errors (I have allowed for the odd minute or 2 for rounding error - but the total time taken should equal when you crossed the line).
Just beginning results, but you may be shocked to hear this years winners were South Molton (although in a very tight race!) Well done to the 4 of them in the team.
The Chris Cussen Challenge shield for this years Wessex Ridgeway (first Doddler team over the line) goes to The Growlers...

I'm aiming to get results done tonight, and I'll try and upload a few pictures that I took during the day.
Just a quick thank you for coming along and supporting the race, but I'd also like to offer my thanks to Spencer, John and Christine who were the changeover marshals, and also Ian who set up at the start (6.30am), marshalled the changeovers, and controlled the finish. Without Ian, it means I can't run on the day!

Wessex Ridgeway Relay Race Entrants must be 17 years of age or over on the day of the event, or 20 years or over for runners attempting more than 2 consecutive legs.
Entry emails have been sent, if you haven't received yours, please let me know and I can update the contact list. A few teams booked already...hoping for a great turnout this year! It was a lovely day out on leg 3 yesterday.
We have our date set for the 2024 Wessex Ridgeway Relay race. Sunday 19th May is the date for your diary. Over the weekend I will be sending out invites to all previous team captains. If you havent done this race before and would like more info please let me know.

Leg3/Leg4 changeover - please do not park in the farmyard or by the field, please use the grass verges.
Leg4/Leg5 changeover - the farmer needs access to the barns, please do not block access. We are ok to park in his yard.
Leg 12 - I have been informed that a public footpath has been diverted - you will need to avoid running through the private land (I am sure youve all recced it anyway!)
