It has been a fantastic week for Healthy Lungs for Life in Vienna, with activities held every day to raise awareness of the importance of lung health. European Respiratory Society
Over the weekend, more than 500 people joined us to get a free lung function test in the Prater Wien before the team travelled to local schools! This year we wanted to get young people excited and engaged in conversations about their lung health.
We will be sharing a report about all our activities in the coming days – but for now – thank you to everyone who supported and shared the campaign. From visiting the Prater or speaking to the team in the World Village, to joining us for our annual event on Tuesday!

We have been visiting schools in Vienna this week as part of our Healthy Lungs for Life for Schools campaign. European Respiratory Society
This initiative aims to get young people excited about their lungs at school. We have developed, a series of resources for schools. They are available for different age groups and are in line with the needs set out in the curriculum.

We joined with ERN-LUNG - European Reference Network for rare respiratory diseases today to put a spotlight on . Taking place in the World Village at the , patients and professionals discussed the transplant journey and the changes patients want to see in the future.
ELF Chair, Dimitris Kontopidis opened the session, which formed part of our on-going activities on transplantation. Highlights included hearing personal experiences from Natalia Maeva and Stefano Pavanello, giving their perspectives after receiving lung transplants themselves.
