Introducing Jake, also known by yogic alias, Yang Yasuke . With over a decade of dedicated practice, Jake’s passion for Hatha Yoga, breath work, and meditation is as strong as his urban style.
As a former drummer and combat medic in the Royal British Army, Jake’s journey is a fusion of discipline and street smarts. He effortlessly blends beats and breath, drawing inspiration from both the concrete jungle and the tranquility of nature in the great outdoors.
The name “Yang Yasuke” is a reflection of his dynamic energy and his African heritage. “Yang” symbolizes his vibrant spirit, while “Yasuke” pays homage to the legendary African Samurai, infusing his persona with a sense of strength and resilience.
On the mat, He’s all about those powerful posture holds, guiding practitioners to use the breath to flow seamlessly into a meditative state within each pose. It’s yoga with a streetwise twist – part strength, part serenity, and all Jake.

🌿Meet at Hopwas Woods Car Park 10:30am
We will park and start the walk from the Hopwas Woods car park.
We will walk through the woods for about 2 hours and hope to see the beautiful bluebells.🪻
We will then stop for lunch / refreshments at the local pub.
We will then venture back into the woods for another couple of hours where we will explore more of the woods and Dayna will guide us through a short (15 minutes) Qi Gong session.
The walk will be about 9 miles in total.
We will be going whatever the weather so bring warm clothes and waterproofs. Walking shoes/boots recommend 🥾

In the 1.5 hr session Dee will share with you the science behind joy and how it effects your wellbeing.

Meet at Twyning (Fleet Lane Green Car Park) 10:00am
We will park and start the walk from (Fleet Lane Green Car Park in Twyning )
The route is a 10 mile circular route around Tewkesbury and along parts of the River Severn and River Avon. The walk should take about 5 hours and we can look to get some food / refreshments in Tewkesbury which is the half way point.

Lisa grew up in Cheshire with her family and from a young age, had a passion for dancing. Following this passion led Lisa to studying performing arts and musical theatre at university. Leaving her Northern roots, Lisa moved to the Midlands 10 years ago.
Lisa has always enjoyed staying fit and strong and explored all kinds of exercise from cardio classes, to gym workouts to CrossFit and finally, yoga.
With an interest in anything spiritual, Lisa is a reiki master and enjoys learning different types meditation and Breathwork.
