We are beyond excited to invite you to our Grand Reopening of Club 601.

Join us from 8pm on Friday 30th August to enjoy a complimentary buffet, bubbly and live bands.

We’ll put our refurbished night club to the test with live band B***S – one of the last live bands to play in Club 601 before its closure in 2023 – and Calvin. Both bands are alumni and will be playing the best covers all night. Our summer resident DJ will then take over and play into the early hours.

This event is open to everyone, under 18s are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

St Andrews students most positive in UK - National Student Survey 2024

The Students' Association also received a fantastic response to Question 25 in the survey “How well does the students’ union (association) represent students’ academic interests?" in which we scored 77.5%.

We’d like to take a moment to thank Jillian Cowan, Deputy General Manager and Management Accountant, who after a long and distinguished career has decided to leave the Students’ Association to ventures new.

Her contribution to the student experience during her time at St Andrews has been immense and she will leave a very large hole in the Association. Going above and beyond whenever required she has supported 1000’s of students, societies and subcommittees, countless Sabbatical teams and Students’ Association staff.

Jillian has worked with us for nearly 25 years. Anyone who has had the pleasure of working with her, either as a board member, staff member or student will know that Jillian’s passion and commitment to the Students’ Association was clearly evident.

She has also managed our accounts impeccably, mounting up a large surplus year on year which has meant that during recent times, we have remained financially stable and jobs secure.

Thank you again Jillian. You will be sorely missed, and we wish you the very best in your next chapter.
