Here is a date for the diary Legends, Saturday 25th March for a social amble around the beautiful Cheshire country side.
Ask a coach for more details next time you are in or check our MN for more info π
Weβve had a lot of upgrades to the gym since we opened almost 3 years ago so I thought Iβd give you lovely legends a tour of the largest small group & classes gym in Cheshire.
Weβve got 4500sq foot kitted out with the very best functional training equipment available, we pride ourselves on having enough of the right weights & kit available that no one is ever waiting to use something or have to use the wrong weight because someone else is using it.
Sweaty Saturday, completed! Great work today Legends πͺπ»ππ»
Wow 3 years ago, ploughing ahead not knowing in March weβd be thrown into lockdown after lockdown but weβre still here stronger than ever.
Canβt believe the gym ever looked any other way than it does now π

Thanks for a great session legends, awesome to see some new faces and returnees to Legacy ππ
At Legacy, we believe that Strong is for everyone.
If you're a man, woman, young or not so young one of your aims for fitness should be a stronger you.
Many people don't associate themselves with being strong so never explore that side of fitness, instead, choose to focus more on cardio & core but the truth is strength underpins absolutely every physical aspect of your life & actually supports your cardiovascular activities like running, cycling & swimming.
Without a base level of strength your muscles, tendons & ligaments simply can't support activities like running which is why so many people new to fitness who start with running end up injured & unable to exercise.
Imagine having the confidence that comes with a strong, capable body. From my experience working with hundreds of women, it's extremely empowering for them knowing they can be as strong (in many cases stronger) than their partners.
The funny thing here is people expect to look like the incredible hulk after a few strength training sessions but that simply isn't the case, if it were we wouldn't have so many strong, slim, toned female members who've been training with me for many years.
Don't be scared of strength training, it's essential for everyone to be their strongest self.
Starting out at a gym can be a scary experience for many people.
You have no idea what you're supposed to be doing, you don't even know if what you are doing is right, do you look stupid to all of the other people in the gym?
Will you be the biggest, least fit person in there?
Everyone will be watching me, they'll all know I shouldn't be here.....
But you join anyway because you desperately want to be fitter, slimmer & more toned.
It's your induction day & you're excited but nervous, a gym instructor meets you & shows you around the gym, gives a quick demonstration of all the machines & if you're lucky the gym has a generic printed work out for you to follow.
So you turn up for your first session, don't really know what to do so stick to the "safe" equipment where you won't be judged as an exercise newbie. Cross trainer, treadmill, rower & home.
You avoid the free weights because you have no idea what to do with them & everyone in the gym will know it!
Maybe after a week or so you get a bit more confidence & try out some of the machines with weights because you've seen others using them so you at least have some idea right?
After a month you decide to try some classes because, in all the time you've been in the gym you've had no guidance, coaching or correction on what you've been doing right or wrong & the classes have instructors so you're sure to see the results you've been aiming for.
The classes are tough, you feel the burn & the instructor is motivating you but you're still left to copy what's happening from the instructor & the other members, it doesn't feel quite right & sometimes you get pain in your back but the instructor hasn't said anything so you must be doing it right.
Right?
The truth is the fitness industry at large profits from people giving up because they aren't getting anywhere. Out of every hundred members, 3 will turn up 4 times a week, 7 will come once a week, 5 will come once a month & 85 will never come into the gym more than a few times each year.
It's how they make money, thousands of members paying a low price to rent the equipment & use the facilities like the sauna & pool.
Don't get me wrong, for those who know exactly what to do, how to progress, how to do each exercise with correct form or come for a swim & steam each week commercial gyms are a fantastic place.
But is that what you need?
In all my years as a coach, I'm yet to meet a client that hasn't needed some guidance either on technique or how to best make progress towards their goals week after week. Even Olympic athletes have coaches throughout their entire careers & beyond so what makes people think they can go it alone?
At Legacy, EVERY MEMBER will have access to the coaching team to support & guide them from technique & programming to nutrition & lifestyle, the Legacy coaching team is in your corner to ensure you are making progress.
Even our classes are coached at a high level, we adapt exercises to the right level for both fitness & ability, correct form throughout & advise on how to get the most out of each session!
We track your progress & adjust the plan when needed.
Legacy has been designed with real people in mind, not the top 5% of fitness nuts who don't need any help, we want to help everyone uncover their true potential.
Don't join a gym, find your tribe at LEGACY!
Sweaty Saturday done & dusted for another week, well done team, see you all next week πͺπ»
