Had a lovely day today, clients in the morning, my own therapy, then recording a podcast with about creativity and nature and then a catch up and restock of cacao with .
I didn't pay any attention to the weather forecast and went out in sandals and no coat!
How cute are these lil strawbs growing out from under someone's fence?! I seem to be doing well so far with ours and have had a couple of handfuls off the plants already!
I'm always reading a couple of books at a time, and this is my current nature related book that I'm about to start!
I usually buy second hand books, however, when I was away last week I went into and their nature section just blew me away, I wanted to buy them all...I settled on this one which also happened to be the book of the month so I got a free cup of tea in the cafe! Win win!
It was also on an offer and I was just wandering around saying maybe I don't need a 3rd book...when a sale assistance kindly suggested an other book that was in the offer that they thought I would like, again a book of the month so a 2nd free hot drink...such a good day π

Good Morning!
Getting my morning dose of fresh air and sunlight to try and regulate my nervous system and set myself up for the day.
The nesting magpies are in full force this morning, enjoying the rain fall from last night. I have been trying to reframe my fears around them and have been observing them, noticing their colours, the sounds they make, during which I have noticed they have moved a couple of trees over, I've never seen a young magpie, and now there seems to be 4 full sized ones. Does anyone have any knowledge of magpies and how to distinguish them?
I am hoping they don't notice my strawberries though! I am trying to pick them as soon as they are ready!

Mental Health Awareness Week π
Everyone always thinks therapists have their s**t together...well I don't! What I do have is enough awareness of myself to know when things are hard or I am struggling and the acceptance to ask for help, step back and seek support.
Creating that balance is hard, and it's constantly evolving, but without it I wouldn't be able to give as much as I do to my clients.
Take some time to check in with yourself this week, how are you really feeling? What do you really need? And see if there is something small you can put in place.
βοΈππΏ
The theme of Mental Health Week this year is βmovementβ which instantly makes me think of getting outside for a nice walk.
There are lots of great physical benefits to being outdoors:
- Reduces blood pressure and heart rate
- Strengthens immune system
- Increases energy and vitality
- Improves sleep
But itβs important to remember the emotional benefits too:
- Reduces, anxiety, anger, depression
- Restores focus and attention span
- Promotes a healthy body-mind-heart-connection
- Boosts creativity and intuition
And thatβs not to mention the oxytocin boost when you see a beautiful view or get to spend time with a friend whilst out and about.
What are you waiting for? Let's get out!
Made myself a spring wreath on my break!
Extreme Cup Of Tea Mode Activated!
After being let down by numerous trades/sales people over and over this week, I decided to try and finish the decorating I started in January...Still got an other coat to go and all the gloss work to go but it's better than the half painted walls I've been staring at!

Why have a Forest Guide?
You are probably thinking why would I pay to go for a walk in the forest when I can do that myself?!
Well....
You are right...yes you can go for a walk by yourself - and I hope you do! However, how fast do you walk by yourself? Are you listening to music or distracted by everything you need to do when you get home?
As a Forest Guide I will support you to slow down to a level that might feel uncomfortable by yourself.
I will guide you through meditations and invitations to connect and interact with nature in a different way.
I will safely Guide you into and out of liminality so that you are able to find the peace you seek from the forest.
I will do all the route planning and risk assessments and know the best spots to stop.
And maybe most importantly I will carry the tea and snacks for the end!
So yes you can just go for a walk by yourself for free in the woods, and you can also let someone else do the hard work and look after you so you can fully let go.

For , the key areas they want to bring focus to are the small changes you can make so that you can reduce your stress in the long term.
Here are some small things you can bring into your routine when you're feeling the pressure, each just taking 5 minutes or less.
It's . But what exactly is stress?
Stress is our body's response to pressure. It makes us produce stress hormones that activate our 'fight or flight' response. This can be helpful in specific situations - like if you're running a marathon or delivering a speech. But ongoing stress can make us feel overwhelmed and struggle to cope. π
Long-term stress can take a toll on our physical and mental wellbeing.
Throughout April, we'll be sharing tips on how to manage stress. Learn more about stress: https://bit.ly/4aQrWOT
Good Morning!
Enjoying my morning stroll today, looking a little hazy in the distance and it felt good to be outside first thing.
Getting outdoors first thing in the day can have numerous benefits for mental health, including:
1. **Sunlight Exposure:** Natural light helps regulate the body's internal clock, promoting better sleep patterns and mood regulation.
2. **Physical Activity:** Being outdoors encourages movement and exercise, which releases endorphins and reduces stress.
3. **Connection with Nature:** Spending time in nature can reduce feelings of anxiety and depression, promoting a sense of calm and well-being.
4. **Mindfulness:** Being present in nature allows for mindfulness practices, which can reduce rumination and promote relaxation.
5. **Vitamin D Production:** Sun exposure helps the body produce vitamin D, which is essential for overall health and has been linked to improved mood.
Overall, starting your day outdoors can set a positive tone for the rest of the day, promoting mental clarity, emotional balance, and overall well-being.
Dopamine Dressing...today I decided to wear what I wanted, what would make me happy, to bring a bit of sunshine with me, and it's worked a treat!
I used to dress for the occasion, to match what others would expect of me, I used to think it was a strength that my wardrobe had so many options, that I could dress appropriately regardless of if its a muddy hike or a Fine Dining restaurant.
However, that also came with countless meltdowns, tantrums and tears, so so many tears because I didn't feel 'right' in my chosen outfit. Because I was dressing for others and not myself. Because I was playing a role.
I've decluttered my wardrobe, I keep what I feel comfortable in, regardless of how appropriate it is because if I'm comfortable and I feel confident, who cares what anyone else thinks?!
So if you see me out and about and I look like I'm in my PJs or like I've just slept rough somewhere or in mismatched clothes, just know I'm very comfy and I'm just doing me!

Update...
I know I've been very quiet on here lately, and I have been fighting a battle between awakening for spring and staying in my cosy hibernation, a bit like a bulb growing under the soil, it doesn't feel like it's my time yet!
Things got very busy, and I wasn't quite ready for that, so I have been creating my own balance and of course piroritising rest when I can!Β
I have been looking at how to embrace this next season, to feel more comfortable with the chaos and to find ways to make things flow a bit more freely.
Now things have settled a bit and I can find my pace again I can look more in to some changes I want to make for myself and for my work.
For now I will leave it here.
