Saltwater Sauna are planning to launch a sauna at Lulworth Cove!

are planning to transform a derelict structure into an 8-person luxury sauna!

Their plans our to reinforce the cliff face by repairing an existing concrete plinth, and adding a swimming ladder. There will also be dedicated changing facilities and a natural spring water outdoor shower at Lulworth Lodge, with space to relax and enjoy food and drinks afterward. Help us create a stunning destination sauna at Lulworth Cove! 🐚🦕

After months of hard work behind the scenes, we’re thrilled to unveil our plans for a breathtaking destination sauna at Lulworth Cove on the Jurassic Coast.

We’ll be hosting our next 'Drop in Session' at the Boat Shed Cafe in Lulworth Cove on Thursday 27th June, 5pm-7pm, along with Petite Hotels and Lulworth Estate, to answer any questions you might have about our plans. We'll discuss the benefits of contrast therapy and community wellbeing, and how this project aims to support winter/off-season tourism as well as local wellbeing in the area. To turn this dream into reality, we need your support on our planning application.

Our Vision:

✨ Reviving our original sauna: We're excited to bring our original sauna, which used to be on Sandbanks beach, to Lulworth Cove. After some much-needed rest and renovations in the workshop, it’s ready for a new chapter. We'll be taking the luxury sauna off its trailer and enhancing it with a cladding of decking around the sauna for a dedicated, permanent sauna experience. Imagine relaxing in this luxurious wood-fired sauna, with the water lapping at your feet and stunning views all around!

🛠️ Reconstruction and enhancement: As part of this project, we plan to make good the existing concrete plinth to further protect the cliffs, ensuring a safe and sustainable environment for our sauna and its visitors. We will also add a small wood store and a swimming ladder for easy access to the cove.

🚿 Partnership with Petite Hotels: We're collaborating with Petite Hotels to offer sauna changing facilities at the Lulworth Lodge, an outdoor shower with natural spring water, and a dedicated space for you and your group to enjoy food and drinks, no matter the weather.

🤝 Support local businesses and community: This project is designed to benefit the local community by creating a year-round attraction with particular benefits in the autumn and winter months. By partnering with local businesses, we aim to boost the local economy through increased tourism and patronage. Our collaboration with local vendors and service providers ensures that our efforts help support local livelihoods, foster a stronger, more vibrant community, and provide a consistent stream of visitors even during the off-season.
