I've started my bowl for the Pride of Reading Collab with

I have wrapped my bowl in cling film which I coloured with alcohol inks. Now I have to be patient and let it dry. Meanwhile I shall get on with the rest of the project. And yes it will involve cardboard.

My favourite stage of a new painting is the background. This has gone through many stages and finally I think I'm done. Until add my focal piece - then it might change.

Obviously I used a but of cardboard as my backing piece.!! Then I used vintage photo distress oxide antique linen distress oxide, white splatter. (acrylic ink).
I added a butterfly coloured in water colour, some black string, a bit of lace and 3 buttons.
Words and butterfly from the Aall and create floral flyer stamp set.

Calling artists and our community groups. 🎨

A handful of bowls left to get involved. 🤩 Thanks to all those busily creating artwork for awards day. 🎉

To celebrate 20 years of Pride of Reading, Jelly are asking our artists and community groups to decorate a vase for this year’s awards ceremony. 🏆

We are looking for designs that are bold, vibrant and colourful. They can be painted, knitted or sculptural, using the colours of this year’s theme.

The vases themselves are provided, all we are asking you to do is decorate them. 🖼️

Full details and how to get involved here: 👇

In today’s crafting session my friend and I made these two lovely abstract canvases. We both worked on each canvas swapping every ten minutes or so. It certainly made for a different creative process. I think they both look brilliant.

I went on a good old fashioned crafty workshop today where I got to play with ink sprays and dies and stamps. I made these two little beauties. Just love the bright colours.
Met some lovely people and a super cute puppy called Trigger.
