📣 We had a great meeting in November when we welcomed some new faces, played participation games, and started to look at our new priority - the cost of living. We also welcomed Jade to the meeting to observe and learn about our youth parliament. Jade is a student from Finland who is here to learn about youth work in Wrexham.

We had a fantastic turnout to our World Children's Day Event in Ty Pawb on Monday 20th November! Thank you to everyone who made it a great success including the stall, activity and entertainment providers; and to Mayor Andy Williams and Rocio Cifuentes - Children's Commissioner for Wales. The biggest thank you goes to all of the children, young people and families who attended, see you at the next one!

The Participation Team had a great session working with Ysgol Bryn Alyn school council members last week. We learned about children’s rights, what makes a good school council representative, school council roles and terms, and brainstorming how school councils can tackle issues in school.

Congratulations to the Senedd yr Ifanc members who have been presented with certificates for Agored Cymru awards in ‘Decision-Making Skills’ and ‘Campaigning Skills and Knowledge’ this week.

We’d also like to say a big well done to our two members who have been presented with awards from Wrexham Youth Service – Scarlett, who earned the ‘Dependability Award’ and Alex, who earned the ‘Positive Personal Change Award’. Both are very well deserved; congratulations both!

✨ We would like to show some appreciation for the Senedd yr Ifanc members who make up our Management Group. They have shown weekly dedication and hard work, working behind the scenes for the young people of Wrexham to progress the projects of the Senedd yr Ifanc. However, their term is up, and eight spaces will be up for re-election during our next monthly meeting. A big thank you to you all, and looking forward to the next Management Group!

🧬 A big thank you to our four members who enjoyed a trip to visit Public Health Wales in Cardiff recently to contribute the valuable opinions of young people to their work. Along with other groups of young people from across Wales, we worked on issues affecting young people, standardisation, va**ng, ‘Time to Talk,' antibiotic resistance and more.

👏 Two of our members did a fantastic job presenting the whole group's views on the importance of working on issues such as ‘Sex and Healthy Relationships’, ‘Mental Health and Wellbeing,' and ‘Substance Use’ to PHW Executive Board.

🎳 We also had great fun playing card games and going bowling!

🏅 Congratulations to Cameron, who is finishing his time on this project after having represented young people’s views for 6 years! Public Health Wales presented Cameron with a certificate of participation and a gift as a thank you for all of his hard work over the years.

🐟 The Senedd yr Ifanc members have recently enjoyed a trip to Blue Planet Aquarium as a thank you for all of their hard work this year.

📣 Senedd yr Ifanc meeting: Young people at the Senedd yr Ifanc opened up their monthly meeting to welcome both young people and professionals who are interested in what we do. Thank you to Craig Mathews, Karen Evans, Cllr Phil Wynn and Cllr Rob Walsh for your attendance and contribution.
🏆 Youth Work Awards: Recognising the fantastic work that our young people and staff do. Congratulations to our own Tricia, Katie and Anwen on your awards.

📅 The young people of the Senedd yr Ifanc would like to invite you to their 'City of Calm Wellbeing Event'. There will be information stalls promoting wellbeing support for young people and workshops teaching useful tools and methods to improve and maintain healthy wellbeing.
