Howsham Mill is a beautifully restored flour-mill which now generates renewable electricity and is an environmental education centre offering free school visits and a range of other educational events. We've had a busy October with 2 visits from Burlington Juniors, 2 visits from Scarborough College, and a visit from St Mary's Malton. Be Tick aware this Easter...

⚠️ Ticks can transit microbes that which cause infection.
⚠️ If you don't prevent ticks, or they go untreated, you may begin to feel unwell with flu-like symptoms or develop a circular red rash.
🆘 Always seek appropriate medical advice for removal either via a GP or calling 111.

✅ You can minimise the risk by wearing long-sleeved shirts and leaving no gap between footwear and trousers. Insect repellent may also help.
✅ Only use fine-tipped tweezer or tick removal toolkits to remove yourself.
❌Do not try to squeeze, twist or crush the tick with your finger.
