Where it began...
I’m Julia, a wedding, pets, portrait & real estate photographer based in York, North Yorkshire. Originally from Bedfordshire, I moved to the beautiful city of York where I now call ‘home’ in 2009. I was always ‘that’ person who brought their camera to every event, every night out, and spent hours creating scrapbooks of my memories growing up. I later completed my Photography A-Level and a further photography course at college. Fast forward to 2013 where a friend’s wedding photographer let them down last minute, I offered to step in and that’s where my wedding photography career started. I generally love a good wedding as it is, but being the person who photographs weddings as a career and being able to share other couples’ ‘best day ever’ is an absolute privilege. My typical style of photography is vibrant (I love colour!) and fun, yet timeless and romantic, but am more than happy to try to cater to any requests. Every couple and every wedding is different, so I aim to really get to know each couple I work with so I can make your photographs special and personal to you.
