Well done to star runners DMA and Moxy Mike for running the Lixingshe 10km and Half Marathon respectively on Sunday just gone. A PB for DMA and a decent result for MM. These guys continue to work and improve - nice one fellas!
Well on the way for Pyongyang marathon in April!
Well done to Benji Gebert for his 3rd place in the Hartfuessler trail race in Germany on the weekend - a 77km Ultra with 2677m elevation gain. Legs of steel. Definitely deserving of a beer on us for this one!
Well done to the Swim God Francesco Lanzone for winning his age group and coming 2nd overall in the mile at the Il Miglio di Chiavari open water swim in Italy on Sunday! Next week he’ll be in the 3km - a warm up for the 3km World Masters Champs in Japan in August!
Well done to all our athletes who raced in the very wet Aquathlon in Tai Po this morning!
Our newly coined catchphrase couldn’t have been more fitting this morning - ‘Rain dampens the pain’.
Great performances from all - special mention to Benji for what was definitely a PB transition.
Middle Island swim next weekend for the swimmers, Lixingshe run race the following weekend for the runners, and then the Repulse Bay Aquathlon the next one - packed race schedule to train for!

Supha Ramabutr - 11th

Alkira Reinfrank - 5th
Fenny Liu - 1st

Well on the way to breaking the 3 hour marathon goal for
Smashing out a 3:05 in the Quy Nhon Vietnam marathon in some 🥵 and sweaty conditions. Ice baths very welcome at the finish from what we hear.
Mind and body of steel from this guy. Upwards and onwards.
Where should we go for the sub3?
4 weeks after winning his age group in Desaru Coast 70.3 Mark smashes it out again in the the Higashimikawa 70.3 with another win! That’s 3 out of 3 wins this year so far, 2 x 70.3 and 1 x Full! All in a really tough age group as well.
Time to take a well deserved break after a hard block, and a packed race schedule.
This guy is an absolute machine!
Well done mate!
Go out there and win the day!
Great results from overseas athlete Shea in a double race weekend at the Memphis in May triathlon. 3rd in the Olympic on Sat, and then 3rd in the Sprint on Sun whilst pacing a good friend and first time triathlete.
Solid performance in both races. Shea has been training with me for over a year now, having never done a triathlon, we are now less than 24 weeks from his first ever full Ironman!
Well done mate, keep up the good work!
Well done to all our superstar athletes who kickstarted the race season by competing this morning at the TriA Aquathlon at Golden Beach.
Awesome results and smiles all round on the course as usual.
In their respective categories:
Amy Miao - 3rd, Alkira Reinfrank - 6th, Amandine Courret - 1st, Fenny Liu - 5th
Oliver Haas - 15th, Cyril Gomez - 6th, Supha Ramabutr - 6th, Benjie Gebert - 3rd, Lobo Lee - 3rd, Derek Ma - 5th
June 18th is the next race at Science Park - plenty of time to get some solid training in and fine-tune all our skills!
First 70.3 race and in the top ten for Taiwan based athlete Colin at the Morro Bay Half Ironman on the weekend.
He came to me having only ever done a Sprint, which was in his early 20’s, and not having touched triathlon since. Great result for his first 70.3, especially considering it was only our ‘C’ race.
Big gains in our latest training plan, with more to come for his ‘A’ & ‘B’ planned races later in the year!
Race ready for the TriA aquathlon series race 1 next week! One of our favourite disciplines - multiple reps of run + swim - much harder than you think.
Should be a good show from everyone, a few first timers, as well as our more experienced athletes!
Good luck on Sunday everyone!
Check out our new updated training schedule!
We’ve added a 30 min core strength session before each of our weekly runs!
DM us and set up a free trial - perfect for runners and triathletes of all levels!
Huge well done to athlete Mark Follett for smashing for the full distance at Challenge Taiwan. Epic result after a short prep time, time for a well earned rest before we start getting ready for the next 70.3 race.
Well done to everyone who raced yesterday at the Sportsoho 10km challenge at Science Park. Great results from the experience, as well as the first timers, with some really strong mental resilience on show.
Now onto a recovery week before moving onto the next race! It’s all about consistency!
Thanks Sportsoho for an excellent race!

Congratulations to Alex Murchie and team for receiving an award for the Weez Walk. Alex has done the over 60km event a number of times. It’s a great event in aid of su***de awareness and prevention. Can’t wait to see him do it again this year!
Congratulations to our resident Swim God for setting a new HK age group record in the masters 800m free yesterday at Sun Yat Sen! Check out his splits from European Masters Champs last year to the splits from yesterdays swim. Now we just need to push it again for World Masters Champs in Fukuoka Japan in August!
Great day out at the Wonder Woman Run Series Hong Kong this morning at Science Park. Really fun pacing Alex to knock off almost 2 mins, and in his first 10km. Well done to and for the solid 5km performance. Upwards and onwards to the next one!
‘How fast do I go on race day?’
To succeed in any race, especially long distance races, and avoid ‘bonking out’ is to have a race pacing strategy that you can handle on race day.

A few simple tips for recovering after racing. These all apply for both training and racing. Recovery is a key component of training, and quite often a effective recovery strategy will boost performance without adding in more training time.
Well done to everyone who raced today, looks like encouraging results from everyone on a hard course with very humid conditions.
All sessions are on as normal this coming week - go off feel and rest where you need to. If you’ve raced then any sessions you attend will be geared towards recovery.
For now make sure that you have rehydrate and refuel today and tomorrow so you’re not fatigued for an extended period. Get a massage in, stretch, and foam roll to loosen up the legs as well.
If doing any of your own workouts this week then keep it light and slow, low volume, and even walking instead of running.
Good luck to all our athletes racing the Standard Chartered 10, Half, and Full marathon this weekend!
Last group taper session tonight at Happy Valley and a light run for some tomorrow!
Hope you’re all ready to go - make sure you’ve got your race plan and nutrition all prepped and ready to go tomorrow!
Well done to Anna and Johan Leven in the Maui Oceanfront Half Marathon earlier this month after completing a 20 week run programme with us! Both 5th in their respective age groups. Great results from the whole family.
DM if you’re interested in joining our monthly online programmes or our weekly group sessions!
