Once Upon a Time in an Art Gallery, an exclusive experience in Dublin,
Once Upon a Time in an Art Gallery, a bespoke art experience
The Dublin-based Olivier Cornet Gallery is pleased to announce a collaboration between its owner and art historian Jean Ryan.
French gallerist Olivier Cornet has years of experience running a private art gallery and curating exhibitions. He represents contemporary artists who are based in Ireland as well as international artists who have an Irish connection. He assists and guides art lovers who want to start their own collection while he also advises private and corporate collectors. He hosts workshops, curatorial talks to art students, artists panel discussions, and art-related events and cultural tours in the special environment he has created in his gallery at 3 Great Denmark Street, in the heart of Georgian Dublin. The gallery received a TripAdvisor 2018 Certificate of Excellence alongside his prestigious neighbour Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane.
Once the town residence of The Lord Norbury (1745-1831), aka The Hanging Judge (who sentenced Irish nationalist leader Robert Emmet to death), 3 Great Denmark Street is part of Belvedere College, the famous Jesuit school. This institution boasts notable alumni such as the poet Joseph Mary Plunkett, signatory of the 1916 Proclamation and executed a month later, the writer James Joyce, the stained-glass artist Harry Clarke (who lived and worked just round the corner), the architect Michael Scott and figures in the world of academia, sport, business and politics.
