The CafΓ© area is also available as a venue for musicians to play gigs or concerts.

Christmas came early for The 3 Galway Girls at the official opening of the new Vegetarian Riverlight Cafe when Sharon Shannon joined them for a surprise set! and Mike Considine of Connolly's Kinvara
Whoever said you should never meet your heroes clearly never met Sharon! She was very generous with her time and gave the girls great encouragement for the future as well as plenty of autographs!

ππ²πThanks to Sharon Shannon who kindly came along to launch our new Vegetarian *RiverLight Cafe* on wednesday evening in the middle of a galeforce storm. Sharon herself is vegan and a big campaigner of animal rights and loves this cafe in one of Galway's most beautiful locations along the river front (accross from the Cathedral in the BORN building). Sharon Shannon will be guest of honour at the launch of our new vegetarian and vegan *RiverLight Cafe* in Newtownsmith, in the BORN building accross from the Cathedral (under Papa Rich). The proceeds of the night are going to PIETA House.
Sharon will not be playing though, but as she is vegan and a big campaigner of animal rights, and loves our cafe, she is kindly coming along to support us!
It's on tommorow evening at 6pm, 18th of December.
