Looking after yourself can sometimes be difficult especially with so many competing demands. But scheduling a little time for yourself can often mean you are more likely to achieve it. The beauty of our booking system is you can chop and change your class times to suit your busy life, all through the app. But DO SCHEDULE those classes in as there is a better chance of you making that space in your life for yourself! Seems to be a quiet revolution happening about the environment and everyones awareness of what changes they can make personally to be ethical in their choices.
My New Years resolutions include only using a reusable coffee cup, love this one! Not using detergent (a lot of laundry in our busy household)- got myself and Eco Egg . Lastly no more plastic water bottles. I usually buy 12 x 2 liter bottle per week π That was 624 bottles last year. I feel so bad about it but no more. Water filter at work and got all the family metal water bottles.
Believe it or not but ethical choices apply to health too. Regularly looking after yourself prevents many chronic health conditions and physical conditions. Surgery and hospital stays are a very expensive use of state resources. We are moving towards universal health care and we all have a responsibility to stay active, stay flexible, stay strong. Obviously we still can get sick but staying active reduces our risk and prevents a myriad of chronic health conditions as well as physical aches and pain, reduces reliance on anti inflammatory and pain medication and prevents a percentage of back surgery, hip & knee replacements in older age.
If pain/injury is preventing you from staying active this winter, see a Physio. Doing Pilates regularly, maintains the strong stabilizing muscles which supports the spine and joints. One hour, once a week over the long term is enough to make a difference. So make your ethical choice to take care of yourself in 2019.

Spotted these guys this morning. Thinking about Spring and renewal and time passing. If you have been thinking about doing Pilates then what better time than as the new year dawn's. Think how you will feel a year from now if you could regularly eek out some time for yourself each week. Just do it!
