Have you ever held a baby in your arms and felt endless joy and an overwhelming sense of responsibility? That's exactly what new parents experience when they bring their little bundle of joy into the world. As a photographer, I've had the privilege of capturing these moments of pure love and protection between parents and their newborns, and let me tell you, it's a feeling like no other.
Why is it that holding a baby makes us feel so safe and loved? Maybe it's because there's no judgement, no hidden motives, just pure innocence and trust. Seeing a baby in the arms of their parents, feeling protected and safe, is a beautiful sight. It reminds us of the importance of family, of love, and of the power of a parent's embrace.
It was an absolute delight to capture these precious moments as the beautiful mom-to-be celebrated her baby shower. The golden leaves provided a beautiful background for this intimate portrait taken on a warm autumn day.
Simple, yet so powerful portrait of a very happy dude. Kinda says a lot about him and his attitude to life:)
I captured it in house during a big family reunion. They came all the way from US and really enjoyed their time together. Thank you, Sabrina, for letting me capture these moments:):)
One of the coolest dudes I've ever photographed:)))
Pure talent. Wexford magician.
Sometimes baby's feet and mother's eyes is all you need:)
Charming little girl at her communion photo session in . I love this location for all sorts of family sessions. So many hidden spots there to make any occasion look really special:) Wild garlic + communion dress win-win!
These guys are having a ball during the wedding . Exquisite location for a wedding!
I had my inaugural family photo session at Rocks Park in Wexford, and it was absolutely delightful. The park is very handy! This cute girl's christening took place in Bride Street church and the park just minutes away. Quick photoshoot before the church, then ceremony = everyone is happy with loads of intimate family photos to keep:)
Rebecca & Adam .
Last March, this stunning couple exchanged vows and became one at Clayton Whites hotel.I could not resist bringing them up the stairs to have Wexford bridge as a backdrop for this dramatic shot:))

Family film and photos, delivered in a stylish wooden box on a USB stick with laser engraving. Memories captured foreverβ€οΈ
I was in awe of this family the entire morning. There was something graceful and calm about the way both Brigid and Paul dealt with their babies. Two hours of love, care and tenderness. Patrick and Molly, two β month old baby twins, were so cute, so similar yet such different personalities. When Patrick started to cry-Molly immediately turned his solo into a duet.
The house was lovely and airy with lots of windows, giving me so many spots to take photos. I love taking newborn photos in their home. Many years from now, they will enjoy peeking back at their baby photos and soaking up all the love they were surrounded with.
Looking after baby twins is a whirlwind, but in between the moments of busy were some truly beautiful moments of love. I wanted my photos to capture thisβ¦
*Lovely double christening photo and film session*
This awesome family got their two gorgeous kids baptised on the same day! And I was trilled to get it documented in photos and film. It turned out to be a lovely" day in the life" session with them getting ready at home, then heading out to their local church for a ceremony. No wind or Covid surprises could stop us from making this day a memorable story. I bet the kids will love looking through these photos and watching the film many years from now.
Shu4u?
Did you ever have this moment when you take a photo, look at it, like ten times, and only then find a very important detail that you did not see before at all? I took this shot at the micro wedding last year. This beautiful bride struggled to walk around the town with her high heels and the groom ran up to the car and brought her a pair of runners. I thought it was very sweet the way he changed her shoes. But only when I was editing them I so the bag with the sign Shu4u in the photo. I thought: what a cool title: "Shu4u?"
Did you ever took a photo with the hidden message that surprised you after? Post you photo in comments, let's have a laugh!
If you are still on the fence about Valentines gift for your loved one, why not go different this year and treat yourselves to a lovely romantic photoshoot? Document your love with tangible memories. πππ

This micro wedding was the one to remember in 2021. Such an easy going family and their little fella Casper really ruled the show:))
Johnstown castle walled garden is a joy to shoot in Wexford.
Blue hour portraits.
There is a time of the day that photographers call "the blue hour". It is when the sun just drops below the horizon, giving us a few minutes of gorgeous even light and highly saturated colours. During the summer months, blue hour is usually beyond our photo sessions with kids. Sunsets are way too late, but in late autumn and winter it is possibleto get kids portrait at this magical moments.
This little model was very shy during the session but when the sun disappeared she gave me a few seconds of her attention and I snapped a few shots with my lens wide open to gather all the remaining light that was getting scarce.
What a little beauty!π
Don't we all deserve a little sunshine right now? Sending in is some Connemara sun your way:)

Autumn is the best time for family photo sessions.
Autumn is a terrific time to bring your family together and capture memories that will last a lifetime.
Here are some reasons why autumn is the best time to have your family photos taken:
* The light in autumn is gorgeous. Itβs soft and warm, and it makes people look naturally beautiful.
* Autumn colours are stunning. You can take photos in front of trees that are bursting with oranges, reds and yellows.
* Late sunrise and early sunset make it ideal for gorgeous Golden hour photo sessions.
* Photos from your autumn session can be used as Christmas gifts for your loved ones.
Book your family session before the end of September and get a FREE set of 25 Christmas postcards with your family photo printed on them.
"Pawsome Wedding"
In August I photographed the coolest micro wedding ever. The couple brought their dog Harley to the ceremony, and we had an amazingly fun photo walk in Enniscorthy by the river. This one is one of my favourite shots. What would YOU name it? Go on spill out your creative writing:)))
Lovely, happy photoshoot in Heritage park:)

Last week I got an amazing review from my client on Google. In this review she admitted that she was amazed by the quality of prints I delivered and that she had never seen this quality before.
This made me thinking: how many people actually know the difference between local pharmacy prints and fine art GiclΓ©e prints that photographers offer?
Without thinking for too long I dropped a couple of my clients images to a local Sam Mc'Cauleys pharmacy and then compared them to my own fine art prints. Here is the main difference between photographic (economy) prints and fine art prints:
PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTS.
βcheaper inkjet printers use 4-dye based inks. Dye based inks are dissolved in water. This makes them prone to fading;
β fewer colours mean colours may not match exactly. Skin tones can look very different from different printers;
β the colours of these prints will fade over time;
β some acid is used in the production of photo paper and this is bad news as acid reacts with light and other elements and over time will make paper to become yellow or even crack;
βthese prints are better kept in albums or dry boxes β making a show of them on your walls will get them to fade over time;
βIn many places, this process is fully automatic, meaning you wonβt get any help or advice with papers or finishes.
FINE ART PRINTS.
βfine art printing (also known as giclΓ©e) is a process that combines 12 pigment based inks;
β the ink is sprayed onto fine art papers. With so many inks, the colour matching is almost perfect to the original;
βthe pigment ink is suspended (rather than dissolved) in water. This makes it very resistant to fade. Fine art prints can last for up to 100 years without fading;
βfine art papers are made from 100% cotton and are acid free because the acid content of other photographic print paper can make them brittle and crack over time;
BOTTOM LINE
You get what you pay for. Photographic prints are okay as a low budget alternative, but since you have already invested your time and money into a professional photographer, it makes sense to order fine art prints that will stand the test of time and will be enjoyed not only by you but your grandchildren too.π
