Here Its me, Software engineer by profession, IIM Kozhikode alumnus, successful career, lovely familyโ seems like an ideal success story, right?
Well, far from it! โ
I am a firm believer in the beautiful quote mentioned above. I am delighted to share my journey from being fat to being fit and hope I can inspire and help other aspirants to achieve the same.
A few months back, at 38 years and 85 kilos, life had become a drag for Bhakta carrying that extra baggage of 15-17 kilos of body fat. Clothes looked misfit, waist size was at 36 moving on to 38, t-shirt size was XL moving on to XXL. ๐ข
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I had started to gain weight tremendously. Working from home, having tea/ snacks every now and then along with huge work pressure and the necessity to complete all the assignments and project work as part of curriculum forced me to sit more than 15 hours a day in front of my laptop. Lack of physical activities catalyst the weight-gaining process in my body.
On 6th Feb 2022, the most unfortunate event occurred in my life. My Dad was passed away due to a heart attack. He had diabatic and High BP. This incident forced me to look at my body differently. I have lost my parents due to diabetes and I need to take care of everything in my family now. What will happen if something unwanted happens to me. ๐ญ
This fear leads me to do a thorough body check-up. And guess what, I had high cholesterol, High triglycerides, high blood sugar, and Vitamin D and B12 deficiency. ๐ฑ
I decided to lose weight and followed various diet programs on the internet. I failed miserably as all these programs reduced my fats by some margin but I started to gain weight immediately once I leave the plan. I was disheartened and thought to join Gym. ๐จ
However, I was fortunate enough to meet Muneshwar Sah on LinkedIn and he introduce me to a healthy weight loss community โ โ. ๐๐
After 3 months of consistent efforts on developing a healthy lifestyle under the expert guidance of Muneshwar and the support system of the Reshape Nation, I am able to reduce 17 KGs of my unhealthy weight. along with ๐๐
-My Blood sugar is under control without any medicine,
-Vitamin D and B12 deficiency is history now
-Triglycerides reduced from 430 to 150.

E-meet Anubha, mother of a 7 year old wonderful boy. She has always been passionate about fitness and all through the early years of her life she has been thin and energetic too even at work.
However, as time went by, fitness started taking a back seat and in 2014 she gave birth to her son, post which, she got little to no time for herself. The after effects of neglecting soon followed which resulted in low energy levels, irregular sleep, lack of concentration, back ache and she was also diagnosed with . That is when she gained the unwanted weight which was impacting her overall life.
