You are the North Star that leads us safely through stormy seas;
The voice of reason who gently guides us to see the forest for the trees;
The compassionate presence who cossets and comforts in our time of need;
An ordinary man rendered heroic by power of your compassion and love for us!

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

WHY HUMANITIES?~ It’s indeed a travesty and indictment of our education system that considers the Humanities stream for the less academically inclined!

In fact, nothing could be further than the truth.
The same was essayed by our Head boy, Jason and Cultural & Events head, Diya, both grade XII, Humanities students.

They shattered stereotypes and highlighted the study of the Humanities subjects as an excellent option for future employment with excellent remuneration.

They discussed various career paths like Journalism, Law, Civil Services to name a few.

The presentation which was packaged adroitly as a career counselling session came to a conclusion with a speech by the principal, Ms Neena Thimmaya a stunning example of the potential in the field of Humanities and an ardent exponent of the same.

‘It’s technology married with liberal arts, married with the humanities, that yields the results that makes our hearts sing’. - Steve Jobs.

SCHOOL TRIP TO DHANALTI~ The middle and senior wing students embarked on a memorable and enriching trip to Mussoorie and Dhanulti.

They had an incredible time staying in quaint cottages and fully equipped tents.
The days were chockablock with adventure and team building activities like the Burma Bridge, Suspension rope, Mowgli walk and Commando net! These activities filled the kids with a sense of accomplishment and comradeship.

The evening was occupied with a treasure hunt which invoked the competitive side of the kids. This was followed by a movie night enjoyed thoroughly whilst sipping hot soup.

The kids were also taken to visit the Surkanda Devi temple via cable car. The journey offered stunning panoramic views of the mountains and provided a peaceful and reflective moment amidst the high octane activities.

The last day of the trip had the students participating in a certification programme that recognised their adventurous spirit. They also explored the charming Landour area and the bustling Mall Road.

The students returned exhausted yet exhilarated with a sense of fulfilment and joy.
The trip provided them with a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation and cultural exploration, leaving them with cherished memories and a deeper bond with their peers.

A special word of gratitude to all the teachers who accompanied the students and took care of them every minute of the trip!

ACCOLADES ABOUND for Swiss Cottage School.

By the grace of the almighty, we were felicitated twice in the span of one week.
We were awarded the BIG IMPACT CREATOR in the category of Emerging Schools by none other than BIG FM 92.7.

The principal Ms Neena Thimmaya was lauded with the GSLC EDUICON Award, in recognition of her outstanding contributions and impact in the field of education.
Both these awards are a testament to the unwavering dedication and vision of the Director, Mr Arun Dagar.

We are indeed blessed to have such a dynamic leader at the helm of the school.

Senior wing students of Swiss Cottage School enacted Act 2 Scene II from the play ‘Julius Caesar' on the occasion of ‘The Bard's Day’, also known as ‘Language Day’.

The students enthralled the audience with their riveting performances!

THE BARD’S DAY 23rd April is celebrated the world over as English Language Day. At Swiss Cottage we conducted a Special School Assembly bringing together the school community in a joyful and enlightening commemoration of the Bard’s life and works. Through performances, speeches, quizzes and tributes, students and teachers alike deepened their appreciation of Shakespeare’s enduring contributions to English literature and language. This in turn inspired the new generation of learners to embrace and acknowledge the scintillating syntax and flawless idiomatic expression of the Bard.
This celebration was our humble tribute to the timeless appeal, resonance and relevance of Shakespeare’s voluminous body of work.
‘Be not afraid of greatness; some are born great; some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them’!
And Shakespeare epitomised ‘greatness’ in every sense of the word!
