BCM Kindergarten organized a series of workshops to nurture the growth and development of teachers.
A session on mental health was led by the School Counselor Charanjeet Kalra, highlighting the importance of mental health for teachers and students. Through interactive activities like mindfulness and laughter yoga, teachers learned stress-relief techniques to enhance emotional health.
A session on Cyber Security and Digital Literacy by Ms Archana Malhotra, Head of IT Dept was designed to educate teachers about cyber safety on school premises. Furthermore, she made them aware on how unprotected internet use can lead to unlawful conduct or abuse like cyberbullying, fraud, or something more serious.
Focusing on practical application and with the goal of improving one's capacity to communicate comfortably Ms. Sukhbir, the Head of English Department, led a session on May 23rd, 2024. She underlined that teachers should converse in English. She also emphasized technology-based teaching above traditional techniques.
The School Principal, Dr. Vandna Shahi stated that such sessions would definitely empower our staff with comprehensive knowledge, eventually helping them to bring a positive change in the society.

BCM School Basant Avenue, Dugri, Ludhiana, paid tribute to the birth anniversary of Mahatma Satyanand Ji Munjal, commemorating his visionary and philanthropic contributions. The day commenced with a solemn Havan conducted by the teachers, followed by a heartfelt floral tribute to the great personality. BCM School, Dugri, hosted an enlightening session on POCSO awareness and value education. Led by the School Counselor Ms. Charanjeet Kalra, the session educated support staff on the POCSO Act. Ms. Kalra also integrated value education using stories from the Ramayana, highlighting moral values like integrity and compassion. The session featured dynamic discussions, interactive activities, and a diligent worker voting process, rewarding an exemplary employee. Notably ,62 students from Class X out of 254 and 43 students from Class XII out of 260 attained commendable scores of 90% and above.

Celebrating Teachers Appreciation Week

In a remarkable showcase of creativity and social engagement, BCM Dugri hosted the Inter-School Graffiti Competition titled "Artistic Accord" within the confines of the school. Organized under the auspices of Riseup4peace educational endeavor, the event aimed to foster education on crucial elements of SDG16—peace, integrity, and the rule of law.
With 26 schools participating, students showcased their artistic talents, emphasizing peace and justice. The event featured a prize ceremony graced by Sh. Suresh ji Munjal and Dr Prem Kumar. The judging panel recognized outstanding talent.

BCM Dugri unveiled Commerce Magazine in Grand Launch cm Career Counselling Session

In honor of the Centennial Year of Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal, a legendary figure in the Indian Automotive Industry, BCM School unveiled 'The Commerce Chronicles,' a magazine to honor his legacy. Mr. Kamal Kumar Soni, the distinguished resource person from the Ludhiana Chapter of ICSI provided expert guidance on commerce careers, emphasizing the importance of staying updated with industry trends.

A soulful Homage to Mahatma Satyanand ji Munjal at BCM School

The BCM family honored Mahatma Satyanand Ji Munjal, a visionary industrialist and philanthropist, on his death anniversary. The students recited the Gayatri Mantra and shared his life mantra of ‘Simple Living, High Thinking’. Various activities were conducted including poem recitation reflecting his teachings, a PPT on his life, tree plantation in his honour etc. The teachers and students pledged to follow Arya Samaj's ten golden rules in their lives. Dr. Vandna Shahi, the School Principal, revered Mahatma Ji as an institution, whose legacy will inspire BCMites to lead virtuous lives, contributing positively to society.

Ambedkar Jayanti Celebration at BCM School

BCM School, Basant Avenue, Dugri celebrated Ambedkar Jayanti with an Inter House Display board decoration competition. Students depicted Dr. BR Ambedkar's efforts to eliminate social injustice. Gulmohar House secured 1st position, Kohinoor House bagged 2nd position , Shalimar and Pukhraj Houses tied for 3rd position .The Principal Dr. Vandna Shahi encouraged students to emulate Ambedkar's values for societal betterment.

Mental Health Awareness by Young BCMites

BCM School, Basant Avenue, Dugri, promoted ‘Mental Health Awareness’ at Government School Phullawal under UNODC's RiseUp4Peace program. Students used creative models and art to engage in meaningful dialogues, demonstrating their dedication. This initiative not only showcased the innovative spirit of BCM students but also underscored significance of adopting creative methodology. Ms. Charanjeet Kalra aimed to expand the program's reach to more schools.
Dr. Vandna Shahi praised their creativity and commitment to the cause and stated that this program will help to communicate intricate concepts about mental health in an accessible and engaging manner.

The event aimed to raise awareness and foster healthy lifestyles among students.The Primary students actively participated by preparing balanced diet plates, learning about essential nutrients. The session, led by Dr. Nirupama MP, Assistant Professor at the School of Engineering and Technology, BML Munjal University, Gurugram shed light on the pivotal role of Design Thinking in today's educational landscape. Dr Nirupama shared practical insights and recommended various activities to help teachers identify students' inclinations towards specific fields. Highlighting the essence of the Design Thinking process, she articulated its core elements including empathy, Ideation, prototyping and testing. Dr. Vandna Shahi, the esteemed School Principal emphasized that embracing Design Thinking fosters creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students.

BCM School, Dugri conducted a session on 'Work Ethics' under the Passionate Chasers- Professional Development Program for teachers. The resource person, Mr Harpreet Singh (Principal GGNIMT), an ardent mentor, orator and dynamic leader, acknowledged the teachers with some exceptional work ethics. The resource person enlightened the teachers about the role of attitude, hard work and discipline. He emphasised on the power of meditation, positive energy and morality of the teachers during the teaching-learning process. The school organized a session on "How to Deal with Slow and Hard Learners" as part of the Passionate Chasers Professional Development Program for teachers. The resource person, Mr Ali Zama, a passionate trainer, facilitator, and dynamic counsellor, acquainted the teachers with various innovative ways to address the needs of slow and hard learners and foster inclusivity and critical thinking among students, aligning with the fundamental principles of the new education policy. He suggested implementing the best kinesthetic activities in classrooms to engage children and enhance their perception. Amidst the celebration of academic achievements and punctuality, the annual prize distribution ceremony, 'Echoes Of Excellence,' held at BCM School, Dugri, turned the spotlight on an essential issue – Mental Health Awareness. A transformative ten-day BOOTCAMP was held in BCM school, Basant Avenue, where the students embarked on a journey of creativity and innovation, showcasing their talents through a diverse array of coding projects. Throughout the Bootcamp, they immersed themselves in various coding platforms, including MIT App Inventor, HTML, CSS, and Scratch, exploring the endless possibilities of digital creation. The Tinkering Lab provided the perfect platform to push the boundaries of innovation with projects like MECHATRONICS, CYBERNETIC ASTRO QUEST, COVER PAGE, TEXTURING etc.The School Principal, Dr Vandna Shahi expressed her delight at the students’ remarkable achievements during the Bootcamp, praising their dedication and technical prowess.
