Tilak Junior College, Nerul, organized an enlightening session for the faculty members on the topic,’ Know Your Brain’ , on 14th June 2024. Dr. Heena Samani, the Principal, took the session and explained how Neuroscience has revealed that the brain is highly plastic and has the ability to change and adapt based on new experiences and information. However, this plasticity is not automatic, and in order for the brain to rewire itself, the experience needs to be meaningful and engaging which can help the students to provide a framework for creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences.

The Interact Club members of Tilak Junior College, Nerul,got the opportunity to attend the OCV (Official Club Visit) function of Rotary Club of New Bombay, Seaside, on 26th May 2024 at Centurion Mall, Nerul. They were excited to receive the official Charter of Interact Club of Tilak Junior College ,Nerul. The Chief Guest of the function was DG Rtn Milind Kulkarni.The students also gained valuable information about the ongoing community service projects and the positive impacts on local communities.

New Interact Club of Tilak Junior College Nerul

Tilak Junior College ‘s Interact Club (Seaside New Bombay) organized an event on ‘Women’s Safety ‘ on 29th April 2024, with the aim of raising awareness about the challenges women and girls face and providing practical tools and strategies to enhance their safety through PPT and skit. The Guests for the programme were Rotarian Ravi Prakash sir and the NGOs from Maa Bharti Welfare Foundation, Mr. Manoj Kumar Maurya and Miss Diksha Manoj Maurya.

The students of Tilak Junior College, Nerul,were acclaimed by Nerul Gymkhana for volunteering in the 1st Invitational State Level Swimming Competition held at Nerul Gymkhana, Nerul,Navi Mumbai, on 28 th April 2024.

110 students from Tilak Junior College, Nerul, registered for a two- day ,’ Edutainment Show - Career Festival ‘ , organized by Times NIE at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai,on 12 th and 13 th April 2024. The students enthusiastically participated in the plethora of activities such as, sketching, poster designing, dance, music,quiz, photography,debate, creative writing,etc. Besides this,the students also got the opportunity to be a part of panel discussions and workshops on both days.

Tilak Junior College Interact Club members participated in ‘ Rotary Youth Leadership Awards’ , presented by Rotary Club of New Bombay Seaside along with Rotaract Club of SIES College and Rotaract Club of New Bombay Seaside, on 13 th April 2024 , at Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, Vashi. It was an intensive leadership experience organized to develop the skills as a leader while having fun and making connections.
