As children get older, confidence can be as important as the skills themselves. To thrive, kids need to trust in their own capabilities while, at the same time, knowing that they can handle it if they aren’t successful at something. It’s by experiencing mastery and rebounding from failure that they develop healthy self-confidence.
Young people face pretty much the same array of mental health challenges that adults do. Good mental health is important for pre-teen and teenage development, strong relationships and resilience.

Whether it’s global unrest, the health of your parents or the chance your flight will get delayed or canceled, there are probably times when you spend your energy worrying about things you have little or no control over.
But this stress can drain you of your mental strength and your energy. It can start to consume you.
Fortunately, there are ways you can break this cycle. You can train your brain just like you can train your body. You can build your mental muscle to think positively and focus on what you can control.
Take example of this image and Evaluate how much control you have.once you know whether situation is in your control or not take steps to reduce the stress.
When you stop worrying about things you can’t control, you’ll be surprised to find you will have more time and energy to devote to things you do have control over. This can be the key to living your best life!!!
Belly breathing is a deep breathing exercise that fully engages the diaphragm and increases the efficiency of the lungs.
In contrast, normal breathing is relatively shallow and does not use the full capacity of the lungs.
The calm that comes from meditation is a deep and peaceful sort of calm.
As a kids yoga teacher it’s so overwhelming to witness this calm in person ❤️😇

Parenting is no cake walk but to your surprise, it can be made easier with your child’s help. Here's how to build a strong relationship with your children and encourage them to flourish into responsible, young adults by knowing what they want you to know.
Yoga shouldn’t be a one day affair. We should practice yoga regularly like we eat & sleep. It’s an investment towards well being and good health.
Today as we celebrated yoga day, we tried to explain this to our little yogis in a fun way.
Positive affirmations helps kids to gain confidence, contributes to a growth mindset, and helps kids to truly believe in themselves. Kids need to hear what makes them special and strong over and over again.
Using positive affirmations for children can be life-changing! As important as it is for parents to encourage, love and support their children, it is just as important that children learn to create happy emotions within themselves by having a positive outlook.
Yoga offers children a full body workout in form of play, storytelling and is a very effective method of developing flexibility, strength and focus for both body and mind.
It is a non-competitive activity that teaches kids to move away from their ego and operate from an open heart space. It is scientifically proven that yoga for children benefits cognitive skills especially with language development.
Yoga relives anxiety, depression, boosts self confidence as yoga makes one feel grounded and safe. This together with mindfulness and introspection, develops the child to be authentic in his/her well-being.
Affirmations.
They are powerful. Not only do I use affirmations personally, but I also use them with my young yogis to instil self-love, confidence, well-being and self-acceptance.
I keep repeating this line in all my classes, Perfection is not something I’m looking at, what I’m looking for is efforts.
And here, have a look at my little yogis trying their best in a bow pose. 🥰
Brain is one of the most important and the most complex organs of human body.
Do you know that certain activities and habits can damage your child’s brain?
Just try to remember and avoid children from these habits so that children can have good and healthy brain.
Kids yoga just don’t need yoga mats, we use many different props to make yoga fun and engaging for our little yogis.
You might call it Urdhva Upavistha Konasana but for us it’s butterfly wing pose.
Children strengthen their back and legs, as they stretch and grow their butterfly wings.
Every season has its own unique specialty, however, winter is the most loved one amongst all. The refreshing chilly winds and the various flora that blooms make it a beautiful season. But winters can get too cold sometimes and so here’s a list of some healthy winter foods that can help you stay warm and cure the winter blues.
Dos and Don’ts of yoga 🧘♀️
Before you start your or your child’s yoga journey, always keep these points in mind. Yoga is not just an exercise, it’s a journey.
Feeling overwhelmed and need some calming and grounding practice? At the same time Want to open the hips and stretch the inner legs?
Then bend forward in butterfly pose 🦋
When we bend forward in butterfly, the pose supports our health by quieting the mind and bringing our focus inward. If we are overwhelmed or anxious, the negative impact of that stress is felt throughout the body. This pose helps us slow down, calm the mind and body and release tension.
If you’re a parent or a teacher…. Always remember this 3 things before you start your yoga journey with children.
MINDFULNESS BINGO
In our crazy, fast-paced world, taking a break to stop and relax can seem like a joke. But we MUST practice because our livelihood depends on it. And why not teach children to do this at a young age?! Well look no further than this BINGO game to help teach children simple and easy techniques to take a break, check-in with their body and stay present minded.
week 9
“HOW WAS YOUR DAY?” Do you ask your child this question once they’re back from school??
If yes… next time try this and see the difference.
week 6
When kids are stressed, sad or angry, making rational decisions gets nearly impossible. During such tough times mindfulness gives kids space and time to calm down and pay attention to what is going on in their body and environment.
Glitter jar are a useful mindfulness tool at home and school. Watching the glitter swirl to the bottom of the jar gives kids time to calm down and regain control.
To make Glitter Jar … Fill 3/4 of the jar with water. Next add clear PVA glue, food colour and sparkles. Seal the lead and shake. Decorate your jar the way you like.
Let’s understand our children in a better way. Let’s handle the situations in a better way.
week 5
Mindfulness is a practice that can help to manage stress and boost our general health and wellbeing.
Unfortunately, the idea of mindfulness and meditation can often sound intimidating, conjuring up images of sitting silently in a room cross-legged for hours. But that is only one form of practicing mindfulness — you don’t necessarily have to be sitting, or even inside for that matter, to practice mindfulness.
If you are looking to exercise your mindful muscles with simple, enjoyable activities that can get you outside while you are at it, then give these outdoor mindfulness activities a try 😊
A fun yoga sequence for little yogis. When monsoon is going on and when you can hear the rain sound it adds magic to it.
week 4
We all know the importance of teaching our kids their ABCs. But how about teaching them about 54321? This mindfulness technique with an easy-to-remember name is a simple strategy that can help ground kids in the present moment. It helps to reduce anxiety and promote calm.
When kids occupy their brains with thoughts of what is happening right now, this engages the parasympathetic nervous system, which is how we calm ourselves and disengages the limbic system, which is what keeps us on alert. What is amazing is that both of these systems cannot be active at the same time: Engaging one turns off the other.
To help kids practice the technique, try doing it with them.
week 3
How often are we truly mindful of the muscles in our body? With this activity, children can start practicing mindfulness around how they tense or relax their muscles.
Children should practice yoga at their own pace, according to their own unique abilities and depending on their age. Ideally kids can hold yoga pose for 10-15 seconds, depending on their age.
NEVER PUSH KIDS INTO YOGA POSE. Respect their limitations.
There are numerous benefits of eating mindfully, especially for children. From staying in tune with their body's natural hunger cues to connecting with satisfaction and enjoyment.
mindful eating encourages people to be consciously aware of their experiences with food by intentionally focusing on the food you are consuming, and using each of your senses in the moment, you can truly gain awareness as to how that food tastes, smells, looks, and feels.
We as human being are always dependent on other to love us like we expect love from our parents, family members, life partner, friends, relatives, and there is nothing wrong in it. But nothing can replace the importance of Self-love.
Self-love is simply accepting yourself the way you are and loving yourself endlessly.
Self-love not only helps you accepting yourself as you are, it also makes your roots strong like self-confidence, self-esteem, beliefs, and your attitude too.
