Whether it’s global unrest, the health of your parents or the chance your flight will get delayed or canceled, there are probably times when you spend your energy worrying about things you have little or no control over.
But this stress can drain you of your mental strength and your energy. It can start to consume you.

Fortunately, there are ways you can break this cycle. You can train your brain just like you can train your body. You can build your mental muscle to think positively and focus on what you can control.

Take example of this image and Evaluate how much control you have.once you know whether situation is in your control or not take steps to reduce the stress.

When you stop worrying about things you can’t control, you’ll be surprised to find you will have more time and energy to devote to things you do have control over. This can be the key to living your best life!!!

Belly breathing is a deep breathing exercise that fully engages the diaphragm and increases the efficiency of the lungs.

When kids are stressed, sad or angry, making rational decisions gets nearly impossible. During such tough times mindfulness gives kids space and time to calm down and pay attention to what is going on in their body and environment.

Glitter jar are a useful mindfulness tool at home and school. Watching the glitter swirl to the bottom of the jar gives kids time to calm down and regain control.

To make Glitter Jar … Fill 3/4 of the jar with water. Next add clear PVA glue, food colour and sparkles. Seal the lead and shake. Decorate your jar the way you like.

We all know the importance of teaching our kids their ABCs. But how about teaching them about 54321? This mindfulness technique with an easy-to-remember name is a simple strategy that can help ground kids in the present moment. It helps to reduce anxiety and promote calm.

When kids occupy their brains with thoughts of what is happening right now, this engages the parasympathetic nervous system, which is how we calm ourselves and disengages the limbic system, which is what keeps us on alert. What is amazing is that both of these systems cannot be active at the same time: Engaging one turns off the other.
