Chemko CBO was present at Review meeting of the CSO's in Kisumu County by (OLPSG and Amref Health Africa) which provided CSO's realization of their capacity on Organizational Development and Strengthening Systems.

The 3 day (14th - 16th Dec, 2022 ) Community Led Monitoring Training (CLM) at Best Western Hotel Kisumu was supported by PR and funded through the Global Fund to fight TB HIV and Malaria. This investment will go a long way toward improving health outcomes in our community. In attendance was the Ag. Director of Health, Kisumu County Dr. Lilian.

Yesterday, 🇸🇬 Singapore’s parliament decriminalized s*x between two men in a historical moment for LGBT+ activists, who have been campaigning for a repeal of the law for over 15 years.

However, in what was a surprise, the parliament also amended the constitution to prevent legalisation of same-s*x marriage.

Today, we celebrate 🥳. Tomorrow, we keep fighting until LGBT+ folks have access to the same rights as any other citizen. 🌈

The theme of World AIDS Day 2022 is “Equalize”. It is a wake up call for all of us to focus on the practical solutions to alleviate inequality and put an end to life threatening disease 'AIDS'.

Chemko CBO was part of 3 days training with other CSO's on Community Led Advocacy and Research at the Best Western Hotel - Kisumu. The training entailed Eight basic steps in planning a CLAR,, Formulation of Advocacy Proposal, Introduction to Community Led Research amongst others . We acknowledge the support of Our Lady of Perpetual Support Group (OLPS) Kisumu and Amref Health Afrika.

Thank you Imara for the 3 day LILO (Looking in Looking Out) Identity Workshop Training for Chemko CBO members in Muhoroni. The exercise has enabled our members to explore their gender identity and s*xual orientation in a move to strengthen identity, self-concept, and relationship skills, creating a circle of positive support and developing skills for coming out and understanding the impact of prejudice and discrimination.

Chemko CBO-Muhoroni wishes to appreciate OLPS-Kisumu, Amref Health, and Global Fund fraternities for providing Chemko CBO-Muhoroni with resourceful training. This exercise was a God-given opportunity that opened the group's perception of leadership styles, resource mobilization, M & E , finance management, resource management, project writing, and other useful tips for managing and even coming up with a good organizational structure. We wish to further appreciate the good skills of our facilitators and the staff of OLPS (Janet's Team) who were present and not present at the venue. Thank you OLPS-Kisumu for all the resources you used at Chemko CBO's disposal and those of other present organizations. God bless you and continue with the good work and spirit.
