With their idea named TATUA which means Terraforming and Agricultural Techniques for Universal Advancement made it to the top as the most promising idea under the Schools2030 program implemented through our partnership with the Aga Khan Foundation.🔥🥰

✍️🌍The idea encompasses equipping vulnerable young people aged 15-16 years old around Likoni sub-county and its environs with sustainable Agricultural skills while combating the effects of climate change and will now be supported for more testing.💥✨

💥 Manyatta Youth Entertainment- {Community based organization} is honored to have participated as part of the collaborators in hosting the International Youth Day celebrations in Mombasa under the theme “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development.”✅

📌Mombasa County was privileged to host the National event through the leadership of National Youth Council Kenya under the State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy , in partnership with the County Government Of Mombasa , the private sector and like Minded Civil society organizations.💪

🎉The colorful event started with a peaceful procession from Mapembe ya Ndovu along Moi avenue to Swahilipot Hub for an official program championed by the PS and graced by the Chief Guest, Governor of Mombasa County Government, His Excellency Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir accompanied by Nominated Senator Hon Miraj Abdillah, the County Commissioner from the Ministry of Interior and National Administration, NYC CEO among other dignitaries. Later in the evening, young people converged at the Mama Ngina Water front for a Creative Concert where our famous Dancers took on stage.💞

👑We are pleased to have our finest Band offer entertainment and our Executive Director Nicholas Songora moderating the program of events.👏

🌄📌Since inception of the Community Artivism in Resisting extremist Ideologies- CARE Project in 2019 under the Wajibu Wetu program in partnership with ForumCiv Eastern & Southern Africa and Embassy of Sweden in Nairobi we embarked in providing support for grassroots groups in Kwale and later on incorporated few more in Mombasa and among them was Zanirani Focus who were already working with young people using arts but in need of technical support including capacity building inorder to impact more lives. 🥰😇

✍️🕊️One of the project's aims was to establish and promote grassroots information spaces to boost early warning and early response mechanisms while strengthening youth (right holders) and Office bearers engagement. Completion of project we were left with concerns from stakeholders on economic transformation and sustainability for the Grassroots information spaces. This found its way into the end of the project evaluation report that emphasized on building resilience against economic shocks 🎯💪

🕊️💥Our Transitions to Community Artivism in Resisting Extremism and Economic shocks-CARE II Program under Wajibu Wetu; Jumuika Sikika Program, we focused in forming partnerships and collaborations with multi-stakeholders in building the resilience of the beneficiary groups against economic shocks. With wings to fly, among other organizations, Zanirani has today broadened their reach, widened their scope and invested in various Income generating activities that support individual members and communities at large. 👏🌹

💞💕With the Creative activity dubbed Launching of Information booths under the project CARE II, we in collaboration with Multi-stakeholders successfully supported Zanirani Focus organization celebrate their 8 years of service at a colorful event hosted at the Shikaadabu Grounds in Likoni, Mombasa. Manyatta Youth Entertainment- {Community based organization} Executive Director Nicholas Songora accompanied by the Board member, Mama Shamsa Fadhil sat as key Contributors to a Panel discussing on the role of Ideology Pillar in Preventing and Countering Violence Extremism at a Stakeholders forum organized by the Mombasa County PCVE Engagement forum with Support from the Young Women Christian Association- YWCA.

The Strategic forum brought together PCVE practitioners from Kwale, Kilifi and Mombasa at the YMCA conference hall in Kizingo, Mombasa County. During the session, Mr. Nicholas "Mc 001" Songora gave a detailed situation analysis for Mombasa while Mama Shamsa engaged on the Milestones and challenges registered under ideological pillar.

As a member of the PCVE engagement forum in Mombasa, leading the economic pillar, we are concerned about the gap in Spiritual Nourishment among the vulnerable young people we interact with on a daily basis. Most of them are hopeful about the future but lack patience. We call upon religious leaders to invest more on young people spiritual guidance.
