All Ceylon YMMA Conference and Young Women’s Muslim Association YWMA-SL jointly organised a farewell ceremony for the High Commissioner of Pakistan Major General (Retd) Umar Farooq Burki at the Kingsbury Hotel on Tuesday January 2, 2024.

National President of the YMMA Conference Mr. Ihsan Hmaeed and YWMA President Ms. Fawaza Thaha welcomed the High Commissioner and his wife with garland and flower bouquets at this ceremony.

YMMA Patron and Past President Mr. Khalid M. Farouk, Immediate Past President Mr. Saheed M. Rismy, Past presidents MNM Naphiel,Haleem A Azeez National General Secretary Mr. Ashif Shukry, Lion Governor Rizvi Raoof, Vice President Amher Shareef, Past President,District Director Ihthisam Mohamed and members of the YWMA including its Secretary Soraya Rizvi were present.

පාසල් මිතුරන් හා සම්බන්ධ තවත් සබඳතාවක් වන්නේ හිටපු කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයයි. මම SLILG හි අධ්‍යක්ෂ/ප්‍රධාන විධායක නිලධාරී ලෙස සේවය කරන විට මා සමඟ වැඩ කළ මගේ සගයන් කිහිප දෙනෙකු සහකාර අධ්‍යක්ෂවරයා සමඟ මේ සතියේ මගේ නිවසට පැමිණීම සතුටක් විය. මෙය ඔවුන්ගේ හොඳම ආකල්පය සහ සම්ප්රදායයි.
Another relationship with schoolmates is former staff. It was a pleasure to have the Assistant Director visit my home this week, along with some of my colleagues who worked with me when I served as Director/CEO of SLILG. This is their best attitude and tradition.

Training Programme on ‘Gender equality and prevention of sexual and gender-based violence’ was organised by the UNFPA Sri Lanka on the 24th & 25th November, 2023 at Courtyard by Marriot Colombo and Mövenpick Hotel Colombo.

The two-day training programme was aimed for the
members of All Ceylon YMMA Conference which had
63 members participated representing all YMMA branches around the country.

It is noteworthy to mention that this would mark the first ever project collaborated with a UN agency in Sri Lanka by ACYMMAC.

Dr. Lakshman Senanayeka, Dr. Manoj Fernando, Dr. H. Yakandawala, Mr. Indika Dayaratna, Ms. Sharika Cooray and Ms. Hiroshi Gunathilake represented on behalf of the UNFPA while ACYMMAC National President Mr. Ihsaan Ahmed Hameed, IPP Mr. Saheed M Rismy and other key officials participated.

As a follow-up, UNFPA would train qualified trainers representing YMMA and YWMA to address GBV related issues in community.

We can see the results. There was a generation gap in the society. Realizing this, contemporary leaders should cooperate with future leaders. On the contrary, if you try to separate it, you will be cursed by Almighty Allah.

සංක්‍රමණිකයින්ගේ HIV ගැටළු වැළැක්වීම සහ උපදේශනය, සෞඛ්‍ය සේවා සඳහා ප්‍රවේශය වැඩි දියුණු කිරීම සහ HIV ධනාත්මක සංක්‍රමණික අයිතිවාසිකම් ප්‍රවර්ධනය කිරීම. මහනුවර සමුදී කාර්යාල සංකීර්ණ ශ්‍රවණාගාරයේදී.

30/10/2023 அன்று கண்டி-கங்காவத்தை கோறளை GS பிரிவின் சமுர்த்தி அபிவிருத்தி உத்தியோகத்தர்களுக்கான STI மற்றும் HIV தடுப்பு TOT நிகழ்ச்சியானது வெற்றிகரமாக நடைபெற்றது.. GFATM திட்டத்தின் கீழ் ஒரு நிகழ்ச்சித்திட்டம் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டது.
புலம்பெயர்ந்தோரின் எச்.ஐ.வி சிக்கல்களைத் தடுத்தல் மற்றும் பரிந்துரைத்தல், சுகாதார சேவைகளுக்கான அணுகலை மேம்படுத்துதல் மற்றும் எச்.ஐ.வி நேர்மறை புலம்பெயர்ந்தோரின் உரிமைகளை ஊக்குவித்தல். கண்டி சமுதி அலுவலக வளாக கேட்போர் கூடத்தில்நடைபெற்றது.

A full day seminar on HIV issues of migrants, improving access to health services and leaders of Migrant Workers Union in Kandy Metropolitan Area was held at Kandy YMMA Hall. Resource person MNM NIFRAS ,Vice President CCMSL.Cordinator GfATM.
Special attention was paid to the rights of HIV-positive migrants.
