This session will amplify the youth’s contributions to housing solutions through a dynamic and engaging online session highlighting the five winners of the Youth Solutions Micro-Grant--one of the key components of the 2023 Asia-Pacific Youth Assembly organized by Habitat for Humanity in partnership with UNESCAP.
AMPLIFIED will advocate for more youth-driven solutions across the Asia-Pacific region and encourage young leaders to learn from and sustainably engage with Habitat’s work. It will also host an opportunity for youth leaders, volunteers, and advocates alike to virtually interact with each other. This virtual event will aim to promote participation in numerous HYLB campaign events happening across participating countries in the region until April 2024.

“Every household struggles with water during summer. I have three children and my husband works as a general worker. I spend about 20,000 kyats (about $7) on water every week. I always worry about our expenses. When I cannot afford to pay for drinking water, I boil domestic water.”
“Our family received from Habitat six bottles of clean water per week for a month. I was able to pay my debt and save some money.”
“I cannot express my happiness to Habitat. I am very grateful for this support. I would like to request that you provide free drinking water for more days and install tube well for domestic water”.
-- Su Mar Nyein, 39 years old from Thamada Kan Chay Ward
