APPOINTMENT OF HADIZA BALA USMAN: A NEW DAWN
BEING A TEXT OF PRESS CONFERENCE BY THE COALITION OF NORTHERN YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS FOR NATIONAL UNITY AND INTEGRATION

The Coalition of Northern Youth Organizations for National Unity and Integration is highly impressed by the meritorious appointment of Hajia Hadiza Bala Usman as Special Adviser ,Policy coordination, by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu,GCFR.
Hadiza Bala Usman is not only a highly experienced , innovative technocrat and reformer,but also an incorruptible woman of unquestionable integrity who spearheaded positive reforms at the Nigerian Port Authority that generated more revenue to the federal government,tackled corruption, fraud, inefficiency and wastages.
It is a common knowledge that during her time at NPA ,Hadiza Bala ensured full implementation of all the federal government policies , including the
Treasury Single Account (TSA).
Being a member of APC presidential campaign council,she played a vital role in the formulation of Renewed Hope Agenda.
Highly cerebral,she has the technical know how, discipline, courage, determination and competency to discharge her new role.
This group is of the view that appointment of Hadiza who has a background in activism and politics and and incorruptible character ,will no doubt help tremendously in implementing the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration and engender development of our country.
We therefore,commend the president and Commander In -chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for making this right appointment.
Equally important we wish Hajia Hadiza the best of luck and hope that she will use her office to end policy inconsistencies, summersaults and lack of implementation which have become the bane of Nigeria's progress and development.

2023 ELECTIONS AND THE STAND OF SMBLF
I would like to use this medium to comment on the above political news published in many national dailies in Nigeria.We are now used to the threats of the so-called Southern and Middle Belt Leaders forum, a forum of ethnic and regional champions. We are not fazed at all. In fact, we are now finding their witless press statements they issue on a daily basis amusing. It is now crystally clear that they are running out of ideas and vocabulary, hence they continue dishing out discredited propaganda that is empty and useless. The gang-up against the core-north as they call us will never bear any fruit. The "Core North will never be blackmailed by an irredentist class.
Meanwhile, we thank the ACF for this time around by squarely placing the blame on the killings of Sir Abubakar Tafawa, Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna and the federalism on the southern leaders. It is long overdue telling them the bare truth in their faces. Since the so-called SMBLF gerontocrats are not polite in their daily insults against the North; there is no need at all for ACF to mince its word in its rejoinder. We expect a tit for tat; and an eye for an eye from now on. The Northern Youth are ever ready to defend the North, even if it involves sacrificing our lives. We will resist any attempt to make us second class citizens in a country where we are equal stakeholders. The Northern Youth will continue to watch all traitors from now on. Every true northerner must protect and promote the interests of the north, or we will declare him a persona non grata, and force him to relocate to the middle belt or the south. CONSTITUTIONAL REVIEW COMMITTEE: OUR STAND!

To avoid fascism, and save Nigeria from dismantling, by advocating tribal and ethnic national conference, Coalition of Northern Youth Organizations for National Integration is in full support of constitutional review which is the sole mandate of the National Assembly. We therefore advise all patriotic Nigerians, whether from the "North or South" to actively participate in all the public hearings, the constitutional review committees will organize in the country.
We have learnt that the constitutional issues to be altered include: Immunity, Residency and Indigene, LG autonomy, Electoral Reforms, Nigeria Police, etc. We don't believe in boycotts; and we don't trust any tribal or regional group of gerontocrats can resolve these issues for many reasons. In fact, we are equally advising the youth to be careful not to be used as cannon-fodder by the gerontocracy class.
Finally, the stand of this organization over some issues to be reviewed are as follows:
1. Removal of Immunity for President, Vice President, state governors and their deputies
2. We are in support of LG autonomy
3. We don't support the creation of State police that can be used to brutalize citizens, minorities, opposition, etc. The central should be strengthened.
4. State citizenship (Indigeniety) should be abolished.
5. Make Fundamental objectives and Directive principles of state policy as well as all fundamental human rights and duties justiciable.

WHY WE SHOULD FIGHT AGAINST GOVERNOR WIKE OF RIVERS STATE
Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has repeatedly described Rivers as a Christian state. “I repeat the declaration with authority and I owe nobody an apology; Rivers is a Christian state”. The Punch Newspaper of December 1st,2019 quoted him. That above remarks smells contempt of the Nigerian constitution which succinctly elaborates that Nigeria is a secular country. It also shows arrogance and impunity of the Nigerian ruling class; and it further displays brazenness and recklessness. In a balkanized country where religion and tribe have become means of divide and rule; Wike will never pay the price for his action. But we Nigerians, though suffering from amnesia, we have a crucial role to play, of making sure that dangerous people like Nyesom Wike of Rivers State do not assume any serious national office. We know the various youth groups particularly in Kaduna that are working for Wike; it is important we oppose such groups that fuel zoning and rotational agitations ahead of 2023 elections.
Nigerians should learn lesson from India which recently amended its constitution and inserted a discriminatory criteria for citizens acquisition that excluded only Muslim immigrants. Rohingya's dillema in Myanmar who number up to million, yet are disqualified to become citizens in Myanmar because majority of them are Muslim. Today, Or Palestinians immigrants in Lebanon whose great grand parents migrated as a result of Zionist occupation of their homeland, yet they are disqualified from assuming citizenship of Lebanon, and since then undergoing oppression and discrimination.
If we let the kind of Wike into sensitive national positions, that is what will happen to Nigeria. So, it is for own good ,we should against Nyesome Wike of Rivers state and other racists and religions bigots like him.

PRESS RELEASE: SHARE THE PROSPERITY
Recently, some charity and community-based organizations such as Pleasant Library and Book Club, Yar’adua Educational Foundation, Muryar Talaka, and Naka Sai Naka Community Development Associations have organized series of humanitarian engagements.
For Instance, yesterday,Naka Sai Naka Community Development Association, a community-Based Nonprofit-making Organization in Katsina State, that has a thematic focus of given charity to less-privileged people in the society, under its Chairman, Comrade Sani Namadi, a philanthropist who has the soul and heart to offer help to most vulnerable persons in the society, held what it tagged Share the Prosperity. The organization distributed used clothes to a number of Almajiri schools in Katsina metropolis-Sabuwar Unguwa,Abbatoir Janbango,Sharar pipe areas among others. The Total value of the clothes is put at N150, 000. This is a commendable effort, given the fact that the organization’s chairman has no any political background, neither nurses any political ambition. The other leading actors in the charity organization are purely volunteers who are passionately involved in sharing the prosperity project.
I know by sheer habit of callousness, one can easily underrate the impact this project has on those rag-tag undignified destitutes, being abandoned and neglected by the society as a whole. But lest we forget that we are living in a fool’s paradise, basking in a false sense of success; that unless those out of school children are educated we will never sleep with our two eyes closed . That unless those who always go to bed with empty stomach have food and those who find it difficult to afford shelter and healthcare service can do so, we will never have peace in this country. We at the Coalition of Northern Youth Organizations for National Integration are calling the 19 Northern states governors, traditional rulers, wealthy and all to wake up and avert the ongoing degradation and diminishing of the human value. We must practically resuscitate our old values of neighborliness, kindness, solidarity, communalism and cooperation.

KADUNA ATTACK :WE STAND WITH EL-RUFA'I
One of the repercussions of the amnesty for murderers and criminals by the state is embolden the criminals and propping them up to assume the position of mafioso. When your political leaders for political gains, subtly approved that gun-totting criminals could go to market freely, and prevent the law-enforcement agencies from arresting them; then you are unwisely paving the way for the emergence of very powerful mafia organizations all over northern Nigeria. This is where we commend governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufa'i for refusing to compromise his duty through any means. But we understand that there would be price to pay. And, therefore, the incessant attack against the defenseless communities in Kaduna by fleeing repentant bandits from Katsina and Zamfara is an attempt to blackmail the governor and rush him into kangaroo peace deal with murderers.
We at the Coalition of Northern Youth Organizations for National Integration our position is simple: The government and our law enforcement agencies must carry out their duty of eliminating rampaging murderers from our midsts. Governor El-Rufa'i should never engage in any temporary peace deal with bandits.And if the government cannot protect us, they should simply let us know.

PRESS RELEASE ON THE NIGERIA’S 59TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVESARY
On this auspicious day -1st October, 2019,the day we commemorate our freedom from manacles of British imperialism and colonialism, the Coalition of Northern Youth Organizations for National Integration is once again reaffirm our stand in support of one,united,sovereign federal Republic of Nigeria with strong central government, 36 federating units, 774 LGAs and one Federal Police force. We absolutely respect and recognize the Nigerian constitution above state and sectional discriminatory laws execute by political manipulators.Furthermore, we support the existing allocation formula; we reject clamour for resources control, we reject regionalism and regional autonomy.
However, we are open to participate in constitutional and democratic discurse that may strengthen our national unity, integration, equality,equality and fairness.
Finally, we say no to tribalism and regional agitations that undermine national unity.

PRESS RELEASE: RE: ALLEGED PLAN TO DESTABILIZE ZAMFARA STATE
Recently, the Director-General, Press Affairs, Zamfara Government House, Yusuf Gusau, had issued a press statement in which he claimed that "Some politicians are making clandestine moves to destabilize the state". According to the statement, it was "a credible intelligence report".
The Coalition of Northern Organizations for National Integration is an advocacy platform for National unity,integration and stability. We are overwhelmingly shocked about the said "credible intelligence report. It is callous and heartless that there are merchants of violence amongst us who could dare to import lunatic Boko Haram war mongers and other insane citizens to truncate the fragile peace building process in Zamfara state. Although we are not sold entirely to the idea of bribing bandits and adventurers in the name of quest for peace; but we still appreciate the relative success of the strategy adopted by the Governor of Zamfara and other governors of Northern states.
In view of the foregoing, we urge the Zamfara state government and security agencies to expose the names of the merchants of death who are making the clandestine attempts. They should move further to arrest them for prosecution. Failure to do this, means the claim is just a mere red-herring employ with the intent of preventing a possibility occurrence, and this is even more dangerous because it means politicization of security; and could mean a blackmail to frighten opposition and dissidents in the state ; and it could mean anything.

Being A Text of Press Conference Against The Demolition of Rainbow Town Central Mosque By Governor of Rivers State ,Nyesome Wike, Organized By The Coalition of Northern Youth Organizations For National Integration (CONI) Today, Monday, 2nd September, 2019, Abuja.

ABOUT CONI: Coalition of Northern Youth Organizations for National Integration is an umbrella of like-mind Civil Society Organizations that have their core objective in National unity and integration; a very strong and united Federal Republic of Nigeria. We have over 500 affiliations across the northern part of Nigeria.

GOVERNOR WIKE AND HIS PERSECUTION OF MUSLIM IN RIVERS STATE

Ladies and gentlemen, we welcome you to this press conference. The purpose of the conference is to mobilize patriotic, peace loving Nigerians, who believe in One Nigeria, who love justice, fairness and harmony against the governor of Rivers State, Mr. Nyesome Wike. Specifically, our concerned today is on the illegal demolition of Rainbow Town Central Mosque located at the Trans-Amadi Area of Port Harcourt.

Given the utterances of the governor shortly before the illegal exercise in which he claimed that Rivers State is a Christian State, it is clear that there was more to it. Thus, the demolition is just part of the blue-print to not only persecute the Muslim in his state but also implement his agenda of turning Rivers into a Homogeneous Christian state even at the detriment of our constitution, peace and justice.

The Agenda to our understanding include divide and rule, to enable the governor manipulate Religion to score cheap political feat and distract the Good people of Rivers State from holding him accountable. Nigerians are wiser today.

GOVERNOR GANDUJE’s TIMELY INTERVENTION

At this juncture, we commend the timely intervention of His Excellency, the Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje who resorted the acceptable legal and democratic action. We are solidly behind Governor Ganduje in this crusade.We know the unwarranted attack against His Excellency, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje by Wike was a blackmail to stop not only Ganduje but other well-meaning Nigerians from pursuing justice for the victims of Wike’s illegality. It is laughable that an irredentist like Wike who runs his state like a personal company , has the gut to accuse someone for corruption.

CALL TO YOUTH

Nigerian Youth regardless of our differences must not allow selfish politicians and religious bigot to manipulate us. We should not let amnesia afflict us to ignore the oldest trick Nigerian politicians like Nyesom Wike employ to divide and rule us, that is religion. Nigerians Youth are the greatest stakeholders in the Nigerian project; if we allow regional champions and religious bigot destabilize the country in the name of politics, we will suffer much more than anyonelse.

OUR STAND

Firstly, we are calling upon patriotic Nigerian citizens, Like General Abdussalam Abubakar, Reverend Mathew Hassan Kuka, CAN president, His eminence, Sultan Sa’adu Abubakar among others, to use their influence and the various peace platforms they chair, to call Governor Wike to order, and make him rebuild the mosque and compensate the Muslim. We feel that if Wike’s illegally will go unchallenged, it would not augur well with the peace and unity of Nigeria.

Secondly, Nigerians should learn a lesson from this episode by taking preventive measures through the ballot box, we can prevent irrendentists from assuming sensitive public offices such as governor, president etc. Persons like Governor Nyesom Wike are not good material for National leadership. In Nigeria, today, we need leaders who have the discipline, the courage and tolerance to sustain the national unity and integration as envisioned by our founding fathers.
