Y+ Global was honoured to participate in the recent HIV Justice Worldwide (HJWW) Coalition meeting in Sitges, Spain, from 3 to 4 October.
During the two-day event, we engaged in critical discussions on combating HIV criminalisation, addressing the rise of anti-rights movements, building stronger coalitions, and integrating science into justice. Y+ Global reaffirmed our commitment to meaningfully engaging young people living with HIV in advocacy efforts for decriminalisation, justice, and equity.
We extend a special thank you to the HIV Justice Network for organising this impactful gathering and for providing a space where collective action and solidarity can drive meaningful change.
We are committed to continuing our collaboration with the HJWW coalition and HJN to turn these crucial discussions into impactful advocacy and change. Together, we will keep fighting for justice and equity for young people living with HIV.

What an achievement!๐คฉ The annual International Workshop on Adolescence, SRHR, and HIV sparked many reflections on the emerging issues and challenges that young people experience in HIV and SRHR spaces.
We are grateful to be involved and to foster the engagement of young advocates from across the globe to network, learn, and meaningfully participate in discussions that prioritise young people's needs. ๐
Thatโs a wrap on the ๐ด๐๐ต ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐๐ต๐ผ๐ฝ ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ฑ๐ผ๐น๐ฒ๐๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ, ๐ฆ๐ฅ๐๐ฅ, & ๐๐๐ฉ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฐ! ๐
This yearโs theme, โBuilding a Brighter Future,โ wasnโt just about looking aheadโit was about taking bold steps today to empower young people and amplify their voices in the HIV and SRHR space.
๐ก We are so inspired by all abstract presenters, speakers and experts sharing knowledge through discussions, debates and skill-building sessions on critical topics such as stigma, discrimination, and human rights barriers.
Some takeaways:
๐ฌ ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น ๐ถ๐ป๐ป๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ are reshaping how we address youth SRHR needs, but we must make sure no one is left behind. Access has to be equal.
๐ฌ ๐๐ฑ๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ isnโt just something we talk aboutโitโs the lifeline for real change. Let's turn the urgent voices of young people into lasting, impactful action.
๐ฌ ๐๐ถ๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ like stigma and systemic neglect is vital if we want young people to have a seat at the table, to be heard, and to be part of the solution.
This yearโs workshop was a powerful reminder: when we truly empower youth, we open the door to innovative solutions needed to improve the health, education, and well-being of young people, especially in low to middle-income countries.
Letโs continue standing with young advocates and changemakers!
