On May 22nd, the ‘class of 2015’ of the Criminal Justice master programme celebrated the closing of the academic year with a graduation ceremony. Prof. Jan de Keijser gave a final lecture and presenting his ‘lost slides’ on sentencing and public opinion, and student Hanna Byrne sparkled during her speech about what the year has been like from a student's perspective. In the end, we celebrated with drinks.

It's currently extremely busy in the libraries due to exams. Here's a few suggestions for relief:
1) Come before 10am or on Saturday to increase your chances of finding a place
2) Please consider your fellow students who like to pass their exams just like you: do not keep your place reserved while going for lunch or another long break (see this picture we received yesterday). After all, if everybody makes space for the next person during a break then you too will find a new study place after your break
3) If you need to consult our collections rather than a place to study, you might as well use remote access from any place where you can get online: http://www.library.leiden.edu/catalogues-databases/remote-access/remote-access.html
