How does an AI interpret the world? Ammo is a TV show about the Norwegian arms industry, and killer drones in particular. When TRY Motion made the intro and CG for the show, we ran clips through a convolutional neural network to greatly enhance the authenticity of the visuals. Here are a few behind-the-scenes clips with the raw data.

We used TensorFlow to train a RNN on the 3.000 most used names in Norway and coupled it with the OpenAi Davinci-2 api to create a service that generates new and unique Norwegian names along with AI generated etymology.

These circles are created with code using a technique called “ray marching”. In this case, it’s calculating the distance (using a signed distance function) to a sphere, with some dynamic lighting and shadows.

The metaball effect is created by blending the spheres together using a cubic smooth min/max function.
