Good night for six weeks dreamy Lemon Lavender 😴

Happy New Year Gold family! I hope the new year is treating you kindly and you’re settling into some kind of funky 2024 rhythm.

In the spirit of keeping things real, I wanted to show you my first soap for the year …

It’s not Instragram pretty, I soaped on a day that was way too hot, unheard of Dunedin hot. The batter thickened like cement and I had to panic plop it into the mould hence the gigantic air bubbles. Banging the mould on the bench as hard as I could muster still wouldn’t disperse the rock solid mix.

Amongst all the frenzy, I also wiped fresh soap on my forehead, which started burning like hellfire, however thanks to my safety googles I luckily avoided my eyes so an urgent hospital visit wasn’t required.

All in all, a bad start to a new year of soaping but I love it even when everything turns to custard. I thoroughly enjoyed cutting up this ugly soap I have dubbed Bad Apple … which is scented with French Pear 😂

Onwards and upwards

Fresh Face is a new release face wash that was requested by a lovely lady to gift as Xmas presents. I’m thinking we need to keep this as a regular as this one is spesh.

This face bar is mega-loaded with Avocado oil, which is gentle enough to use on your face. Castor oil acts as an antibacterial agent and helps give the soap a lovely soft conditioning lather

Green clay gently cleans and decongests the skin. It’s a natural exfoliant and stimulant, and also works as a a pore-tightening toner.
