I am a TerraSoma Yoga & Eco-somatic facilitator, and Holistic Hairdresser, offering a unique blend of services designed to nurture both body and soul.

I’m currently going through a rebranding/reformulating phase of my business.
Business is slow and expenses are high - navigating this phase requires attention within my business and expanding in areas that I haven’t really had to before aka: online marketing 😓
My nature is very much driven and resonant with in person, tangible connections and social media feels draining, exhausting and not at all resonant (when it’s not as a personal creative hobby)
AND I feel quite fulfilled by the creative process of creating online marketing material .. aka Canva
I’m currently trying to formulate all of the above to help my business grow.

P.S I was reminded by a Retreat attendee on the weekend that I have a talent of a captivating writing style and that I need to nurture this more. She described how reading some blog posts she stumbled upon on my website (that were written 6 years ago)- had her captivated and looking for more - which doesn’t usually happen to her. I have been told this a-lot through out my dabbles here and there with blogging and letter/post writing, however I do not think social media is the place for this to be well received - our attention spans are short and we are over stimulated.
I will use my newsletter to explore reawakening my creative writing skills, so come and join the journey away from the bright lights & hustle n bustle of social media.

🌒✨ Embracing the Winter Solstice ✨🌘
Today marks the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. It's a time for reflection, rest, and renewal. In our busy lives, it's important to acknowledge these moments, even in small, gentle ways.
Here are three simple suggestions to honour the solstice today:
Light a Candle: Take a moment to light a candle, symbolising the return of the light. Let its warmth and glow remind you of the inner light that guides you, even during the darkest times.
Pause and Breathe - Give yourself the gift of a few deep breaths. Close your eyes, inhale slowly, and exhale gently. This small act of mindfulness can create a sense of calm and presence, grounding you in the moment.
Bonus points if you can do this while observing/acknowledging a winter tree in all it winter character.
Set a Gentle Intention:Reflect on what you wish to invite into your life as the days begin to lengthen. It could be as simple as more rest, self-compassion, or joy. Write it down or hold it in your heart.
Remember, acknowledging the solstice doesn't require grand gestures. Simply being aware and taking a moment to pause is a beautiful practice in itself. It's okay to honor the season in whatever way feels right for you, without any pressure or expectation.

Embrace this ritual to achieve soft, silky hair while indulging in a moment of self-care.
Self-care rituals are essential for maintaining both physical and mental well-being. Incorporating a hair treatment routine not only benefits your hair but also provides a moment of tranquility and nourishment.
Here's a nourishing oil treatment using the powerful properties of castor oil, coconut oil, and rosemary oil.
🌻 **Ingredients:**
- Half coconut oil + half castor oil, liquified (1-2 tbsp each for long hair)
- A few drops of rosemary oil (optional)
🌻 **Steps:**
1. **Mix**: Combine coconut oil, castor oil, and rosemary oil in a bowl. (warm if it is not liquefied)
2. **Apply**: Massage the mixture into your scalp, mid-lengths, and ends. Scrunch and comb through your hair.
3. **Set**: Pop your hair up in a bun and leave it for at least 30 minutes.
For deeper nourishment, you can leave it overnight, but use an old pillowcase as oil can stain.
4. **Shampoo**: Shampoo TWICE. For the first wash, apply shampoo to your hair before adding water to ensure the oil is removed efficiently. Use warm water to rinse.
5. **Condition**: Condition as usual and rinse with cooler water to finish if you choose.
6. **Dry**: Let your hair dry naturally or blow-dry.
Now see if you can try not to touch your silky locks too much!
