My favourite part of this interview 5:45

"For good health you need to:
1. Breathe clean air
2. Drink clean water
3. Eat good food
4. Get plenty of sleep
5. Exercise frequently
6. Avoid the passions of hate and anger"

Good interview, seems like a reasonable woman :)

The Biceps Brachii! Looking at where the tendons end, the Biceps Br. can actually cause shoulderpains! It may be worth receiving some work on it if other muscles of the shoulder have already been tried and pains persist!

Fascia!

1. A square inch of fascia can hold a ton (1000kg) of weight.

2. It is a major conduit for Chi.

3. Some fascia produces "tunnels" that contains muscles.

23/10/2017

Fascia! Wraps around and connects to eachother about everything in the body, including organs. Fascial adhesions or "stuckness" can be well relieved through massage or myofascial therapy (a type of stretching). Staying in the same posture for a long period of time can lead to issues with the fascia, but the main issue will be the fascia becoming inflexible and "dry" from dehydration.

Hydration is one of the pillars of health. We see in the image what dehydration can do. A raisin is actually a dried grape. Remember to drink enough water every day!

The Psoas muscle is your main hip-flexor (bringing your knee to your chest). It often gets shortened from excessive sitting. When it does, it may produce lower back pain and also create an excessive curve in the lower back (lumbar lordosis).

Magnesium! Another essential nutrient people tend to be low on, here's some of the big functions:

1. Energy production & biochemical reactions (enzyme systems)
2. Helping to regulate muscle contractions (tends to relax)
3. Needed for healthy bones
4. Your calcium may be "low" because you lack the magnesium to "utilize" it! (leading to problems with your bones)
5. Magnesium is paired with calcium in the body like on a scale. So if Magnesium is low, it may increase your calcium levels leading to excessive bony deposits in your body, making your joints stiff. Coupled with dehydration may also produce stones!

Vitamin-C! Essential Nutrient with a wide range of functions, here are the big ones:

1. Tissue repair: wound healing, gums, teeth, bones...
2. Anti-Oxidant: fighting free-radicals and inflammation
3. Immune System: supporting cells and anti-viral properties

Epsom Salt Baths people!!!
It has many many benefits, two specifically being: it has magnesium in it. Magnesium is a muscle and nervous system relaxer. Your body will absorb the magnesium through the skin and get your achy muscles nice and relaxed.
And it will draw toxins out of your body. Make sure you don't soak in it for more than 20 minutes! After 15-20 minutes our bodies start to reabsorb any of the nasties that have been drawn out of them. So after 20 minutes, either finish up OR make up a new bath with some fresh water and salt.
This is especially good and beneficial after you have had a massage or a hard workout.
