OUR TORY ST CAFE IS GOING COFFEE CUP FREE! ☕️Yes! Starting tomorrow, we will no longer have single use cups available for coffee in our café. This is because we don't want to be part of a system that disposes 295,000,000 coffee cups into our environment every year. To celebrate, we are offering $1 off every coffee purchased in the first 2 weeks of June. This will make a black coffee $2.50, a regular white coffee $3.50 and a large white coffee $4. Undoubtedly the cheapest coffee in town (as well as being organic, Fair Trade and Living Wage certified from Good Fortune Coffee co. !). Come and support our team with a delicious brew - just don't forget your reusable cup! (But if you do you can borrow one of ours! 😊)

Whoop whoop! We're getting rid of our single use coffee cups!

OUR REUSABLE CUP TRIAL IS NOW PERMANENT! Every Friday for the last couple of months we've been offering alternatives to single use plastic cups for coffee (and water) to avoid handing out throwaway ones. Thanks to YOU this has been so successful that we've now decided to do this every day and delete single use coffee cups from our offering! This action is part of our commitment to sustainability and Climate Action - read more about this on our latest blog.

We will be sharing the ancient traditions of cacao in Peru and the spiritual symbolism and significance of the sacred plant and tools used to make it in ceremony. MEET THE TEAM // If you’re a regular shopper in our Wellington City or Kilbirnie store, you’ll surely recognise David’s trademark grin. David finished high school last year and is now working full time across both stores where he gets to work alongside his Mum (Werkenesh) Uncle (Eshetu) and Aunt (Sisu). His favourite job is being on counter as he loves chatting to customers. He strongly recommends the Daily Organics' original kombucha, which he describes as “heavenly”!

MEET OUR NEW MANAGER AT TORY STREET! We are delighted to introduce Kevin as the new manager of our Wellington City Store. Some of you will know Kevin already as he has been managing our Kilbirnie Store for the past 5 years where he did a superb job both for the teams he managed, and the customer community he served.

He is deeply passionate about organics and the environment, social justice and at a personal level, yoga!

We know you will join us in making Kevin feel right at home at Commonsense Wellington City.

Our Wakefield St store is closing at 4pm today (Monday) so we can move to our new home at 147 Tory St. We will be closed all day Tuesday and can't wait to show you around our new home on Wednesday! Our Kilbirnie store is still open for all your fresh organic needs until then! 😊

OUR NEW TORY ST STORE OPENS WEDNESDAY 20TH MAY!

In level 3 work resumed on relocating our Wellington city store to its new site at 147 Tory St. This store will be opening it's doors on Wednesday 20th May!

Please note, to facilitate the move, our current Wakefield St store will be closed from 4pm (open 8am-4pm) on Monday 18th May and CLOSED ALL DAY on Tuesday 19th May. As our online store is managed by the Wakefield St store, it will also be closed on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th May.
