Congrats to filmmaker Paloma Schneideman and team Gate Crash as our short film has been selected as one of NZ's Best for 2023. The film is screening in competition as part of New Zealand International Film Festival this year. Huge fun producing this short with Vicky Pope and POP Film as part of the Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School film programme last year with a vibrant and energetic cast of 3rd year graduating students who absolutely smashed it!!! Super stoked to be part of this line up of shorts with such powerful creative teams - come along and support us, will be a goody!

Check out Ultimately Lacks Polish, a passion project we produced with wonderfully smart and talented director Kathleen Winter over the last year. The film is a portrait piece about Wellington poet Freya Daly Sadgrove, showcasing her bad ass poetry she performs accompanied by drummer Thomas Friggens. In the film Freya reflects on her work that was published in her book Head Girl and looks ahead to the next phase of her artistry. Give it a watch. Big shout out to our wonderful crew who smashed it on this documentary. Thank you to Going West Books and Writers Festival for supporting our team to make this film, and special acknowledgement to the amazing folk at Avalon Studios Ltd who generously let us take over Studio 11 for two days to shoot our poetry music video, and Undergound Sound for supporting our sound design, mix and recording of our soundtrack!
