We are in for a cold and wet start to the week.
But on the bright side, it’s perfect weather to have a lovely massage to help you relax and unwind.
I don’t know about you, but I love having a massage and listening to rain on the rooftop.
So, if you haven’t booked your massage for this week, you are in luck, as I have some available appointments this week at my Churton Park clinic.

Tenã koutou,
This quote popped up on my feed this morning, I shared it with a friend and we both felt it would be the perfect to share with you all.
“I finally found my rhythm when I realised that even the steps backward were part of the dance”
Winter, you have brought lots of valuable lessons but I am glad to see the end of you! I am sure I’m not the only one who is ready to (hopefully) welcome some fine spring days.
Spring always feels like another opportunity to reset. Flowers and baby animals popping up around the place, longer daylight hours and a general sense of the darkness of winter leaving for another year!
If you have been following along on our socials, you will have seen I have been navigating some personal challenges. Along with the uncaring changes the government has been making, people have significantly less disposable income and that has a flow on effect to us small businesses too.
So yes, I have had my version of hard this winter. And I think for all of us it is important to acknowledge our hard. But through it all I remain even more grateful for those of you that continue to support and use the offeringsof Emma-Kate Wellbeing and those of you that will, when you can, find your way back.
Thank you for all the lovely feedback on our Woman’s Day article. Emma-Kate Wellbeing
was born from my personal journey to improve my own and my family’s wellbeing.
Being open, honest and vulnerable and sharing our story is something I am grateful to be able to do.
I hope you also enjoyed our 31-day mindfulness challenge on our socials! This was designed with our current strategy here at Emma-Kate Wellbeing to simplify and focus on one thing at a time...these will stay live on our socials and hopefully are bite size ideas you can play around with and just maybe one (or more) of these might be the wellbeing tip that helps you!
So back to our quote from the start, for me it’s a perspective shift. Weather the steps are backwards, sideways or forward-they are all part of the dance and I plan to keep dancing my way forward. To better wellbeing, happy, healthy kids , to a thriving business.
Will you dance with me.
Aroha nui,
Emma-Kate
Dog mum's life,
I didn’t do my regular 5 a.m. walk this morning as the weather was too awful even for me, but I did manage to take Jess out for a walk today between clients when the weather was less of a downpour.
What do they say? “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.”
So, even though I didn’t get up as I usually would have, I didn’t use that as my excuse not to walk today.
Instead, I planned to walk later on and get back on track.
Remember, it’s okay to miss part of your routine as long as you don’t use an excuse not to get back on track and make a plan to follow through later on or the next day.
Did you know your health journey should be about small changes and gains? It's all about consistency and showing up for yourself even when you aren’t motivated.
It’s about creating a better future for yourself and choosing your well-being before others so you can care for and nurture yourself and others from a full cup, not an empty cup.
I have lost over 5kg (the last time I weighed myself was about three weeks ago), but I have noticed that lifting heavy weights and doing yoga has built my strength. I feel stronger at almost 50 than I have in years.
So, if getting fit and healthy seems overwhelming, pick one thing, do it consistently, and build from there.
JUST START!!
I was reflecting on my walk this morning and how happy and content I was feeling.
I realised it's because lately, I have been stepping out of my comfort zone and backing myself up to take action. I am not playing small; I am not saying I am stuck or buying into fear.
Instead, I have trusted myself that no matter what happens, I will be okay because I can do hard things, and the rewards have been so worth any discomfort I might have felt worrying about the outcome.
What have you been putting off in case you failed, got rejected, or looked silly?
Why not take even a small step towards doing something that scares you this week and enjoy knowing you succeeded, even if it didn't go according to plan?
Have a wonderful Monday, and keep moving forward ❤️.

Congratulations, you have made it to day 31! It’s totally ok if you did not complete every challenge. Reflecting over the last month, what actions have you enjoyed? Is there anything (ONE THING!) you can add into your daily/ weekly routine going forward? Small steps repeated often lead to big gains! Thank you for making the journey with us and remember you can book in for any of our offerings at Emma-Kate Wellbeing to kick start your wellbeing journey too.
