Does anyone know where I probably got these from? My daughter, who wears her hair down 99% of the time was horrified when she caught me trying to use them for the crayon rolls! 😂

About to match up my fat quarters so I can create some crayon rolls this week. Any thing catch your eye?

My purchase at Spotlight the other day was for my child's Christmas or birthday gift. Now I have to find the time to sew it without her around! Hence it possibly being for her birthday which is early in the new year. 😂

You know things are about to get real when you grab a trolley going into Spotlight!

All ready for button and patterned fabric shopping!

Last year for one of Clodagh's friends birthday she told me she wanted to make him a monster toy. She came home and drew a picture of what it would look like. She helped me source the fabric and I created a pattern. I cut the fabric for her but she sewed the straight bits whilst I did some of the tricky sewing.

Slowly getting there! Should the buttons match the spikes or the main colour? Get your votes in by Saturday!

I started Mary Made when I had my baby. Given that she has grown up with me sewing so much she also likes to give it a go. Here she is a few months ago helping me sew herself a dress. I will reveal the dress tomorrow.

Spikes! Grrr! 🦕

When I'm not sewing my other hobbies is gardening so we have been checking out gardens in the 3 garden trails that are on in Taranaki for ideas. We did 8 gardens yesterday and 12 today! Will probably do a little less over the weekend so we can spend time with family but if you are in the area we recommend you check them out!

After posting about Bunny's hiding spot yesterday I realised that I never posted about the dinosaur vest when I made it. Which was back in 2021 and she can still fit it! Like a lot of the patterns I use lately it was from Twig + Tale. If you have a sewer in your life I recommend they check them out.

Apparently our dinosaur vest hood is a great place for Bunny to sit in whilst we do the dishes. 🤣

While I haven't been sewing and selling much recently I have continued to sew for family and friends. Here are some Bluey coats I made for my child and their best friend. They decided they were twins. The friend was so excited they refused to take it off at bed time. What a compliment!

The dress that the child was waiting for. It's hard to tell but the fabric has glitter.

The things you have to do to occupy your time with whilst you wait for Mum to sew you a new dress. 😂
