Our friend and my wife’s contemporary at the 1st AG Palao, Iligan City. He’s gone ahead to be with Christ our Lord.

IBCian Batch 1978 (or 1979?)

May God’s peace and strength be with the family.

With thankfulness in our hearts, we share that our beloved Papa Tony Demecillo has entered into God’s eternal rest. He peacefully passed away in his sleep around 1:30 in the morning on June 30, 2024, in Iligan City, Philippines.

We honor God for Papa’s life, which was lived honorably in service to Him—serving God with all his might and strength, never wavering in love, devotion, or faith.

In his last recorded preaching, Papa Tony said, “I’m willing to give my life for a revival,” even though his heart was already weak. We believe God indeed honored and received his offering.

Details of the memorial service will soon be shared. Your prayers, support, and love mean the world to us during this time.

It is indeed a beautiful thing to Rest in Christ,

It is a sad thing to see a fellow IBCian depart from this life because we will miss them, but at the same time we are glad that their departure is to be with the Lord where joy and fulfillment abound.

Zaila Yunson Abrigoso, Batch 93 - Victors - went to be with Christ in the morning of Monday May 16, 2022, after suffering a stroke while leading the praise and worship service in their church last Sunday. What a way to go, until the end serving Christ.

Our prayers go up to God for her family.

COVID-19 Resources | Assemblies of God USA Equipping the church for unprecedented times.

To my co-pastors in the Assemblies of God (and even to those of other groups) :

Ask wisdom from the Lord. Be wise in the ways of the Lord and the rules he has given for our physical health and safety.

Many leaders of the Assemblies of God have already been infected, and some are battling the disease in critical condition. These include several top executives of the World Missions department, the New York district superintendent, the pastor in this article, and the pastor and several members of Grace AG in Singapore.

We pray for God's protection. And we take measures designed to protect our health and the health of our church members, both physical and spiritual. This would be what God would have us to do in this time of the covid-19 pandemic.

Coronavirus strikes pastor, wife and over 30 others at Ark. church An Arkansas pastor who was recently struck with the deadly coronavirus along with his wife, Dena, and more than 30 others connected to his church is now warning others not to underestimate how dangerous the virus is and treat it with “wisdom and restraint.”

Urgent Prayer Appeal for Greg Mundis

AGWM Executive Director Greg Mundis is fighting pneumonia. Greg Mundis Jr. stated, “I urge all of Dad’s colleagues, friends, pastors, missionaries, and your families to join me and my family as we intercede on his behalf, standing in the gap for my dad as we believe that God will touch his lungs, amplify the antibiotics, augment his immune system, and bless the medical team with insight, wisdom, understanding and open their minds as they nurse him back to health!”

We request that the worldwide Assemblies of God family intercede for Greg’s miracle.

The Assemblies of God World Missions is part of IBCian history. It was the Department of Foreign Missions at that time, and its missionaries were instrumental in the establishment and development of Immanuel Bible College.

"Rev. Pat Bercero Alingasa, 84, is a graduate of IBC lBI then, in 1959. She was ordained into the ministry of the Mindanao District Council of the Assemblies of God. She is survived by her three daughters: Helen , Marle and Virgie Bercero Alingasa. She is also survived by her 8 siblings: Alejo Bercero, Aurora Bercero Ines, Lo**ta Bercero Balista, Eddie Z. Bercero, Felipe z. Bercero, Josefina B. Dinopol, Fermin Z. Bercero and Esther B. Cabel."
