Religious and lay administrators met with the university employees yesterday for a general assembly at the Recoletos Center for Arts and Culture.

Plans and programs were shared to the attendees. New employees were also introduced.

| Join us this afternoon for the eucharistic celebration for the Solemnity of St. Nicholas of Tolentine. This will also be our third send-off mass for our 2024 bar exam takers.

USJ-R School of Law sends off its graduates who will take the 2024 bar examinations with a eucharistic celebration.

The bar exam will start tomorrow and USJ-R is the lone testing venue in Cebu.

| In honor of the late Governor of Cebu and the 4th President of the Republic of the Philippines, Sergio Osmeña Sr., September 9th is Osmeña Day.

It is considered a special non-working holiday in the whole province of Cebu and its component cities. It was made official through the declaration of Republic Act 6953 in May 1990. The Grand Old Man of Cebu, Sergio Osmeña, was born on September 9, 1878.

Work and classes will resume on September 10, 2024.

TEKNOLUNAS2024 gathers students and professors to discuss innovations and advancements in the field of biomedical engineering and healthcare research.

Aside from USJ-R, the participants come from different institutions such as De La Salle University, Cebu Doctors’ University, Velez College, University of San Carlos, and companies with exhibits.

Various advanced biomedical devices are exhibited in the USJ-R lobby. These booths will be available to visit until Friday, September 6.

Students of the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) meet with the religious and lay administrators of the University of San Jose- Recoletos to discuss potential areas for collaboration.

A delegation of NTUST is in Cebu for their immersion and summer camp. They will spend the majority of their time at USJ-R Balamban for the International Schweitzer Project.

Students from Shudo University Kyoso Junior & Senior High School visited the University of San Jose-Recoletos from August 25 to 30 for a cultural exchange program.

The students joined the Josenian senior high school students' activities in the classroom and Recoletos Coliseum. During their 6-day stay, they also visited the Parian Drop In Center as well as explored tourist destinations in Cebu and Bohol.

Rysa, with her partner from Singapore, won 3rd place, while Kate, with her partner from Japan, was among the Top 6 out of 30 teams coming from different countries in Asia Pacific.

Three priests under the Order of Augustinian Recollects (OAR) celebrate their 33rd presbyteral anniversary today at the USJ-R Main Campus.

They are Rev. Fr. Eduardo Celiz Jr., OAR (University President), Rev. Fr. Leopoldo Estioko, OAR (VP Finance), and Rev. Fr. Gaudencio De Mesa Jr., OAR.

Aside from messages, they also received a heartfelt performance coming from their fellow friars. USJ-R students and alumni also performed.

After a week-long fun and excitement of the Intramurals, it's now time to buckle up for the upcoming midterm examinations.
