The Founding Chaplain of the Catholic Center Campus Ministry (CCCM), Fr. Michel de Gigord, M.E.P. is in the Philippines for a month-long visit.

Here in CCCM, there will be a grand gathering/reunion and 26th anniversary celebration on August 25 and 26 at the CCCM grounds.

Dear CCCM Family, Warm greetings and the Joy of Divine Mercy be with you all. I had the chance to meet with Fr. Michel in Paris last week. He will be in the Philippines in July and August, 2015. He is very happy and hoping to meet all of you at your different cities.

He expressed to me his desires for all CCCM Alumni. That is: wherever you are, organise yourselves and form a small community to continue to share and spread the Values of CCCM to other young people. I think those in Dubai and Manila are doing this already. What about in your city? Pagadian? General Santos? Bacolod? Saudi? etc. Try and keep yourselves together and pray together, Learn together and Play together down to your Children and other young people.

It is very sad that some people graduate from Iligan and after, they forget about all the values they have acquired at CCCM. Lets make CCCM community strong all over the world. Happy Divine Mercy Sunday! Godbless you all!

In the midst of a so materialistic world, allow your hearts to be touched by the tenderness, the harmony, the beauty, the simplicity of the holy family.

H.E.L.P. Rescue 411 (2011)

Various rescue teams gathered for the Rescue Operations Challenge 2011 (Rescue Olympics) organized by the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council-Region 10 (RDRRMC-X) last July 26-27, 2011. Oliver Ryan Cabading, Lord Ryan Reciña, Janievib Elago and Mercken Cabig joined as the official "Olympians" and represented Cagayan de Oro's very own Rescue 411 under the First Aid and Extrication Category. Core Group members and Medical Emergency Responders were present to cheer for the Rescue 411 team.A simulation of a vehicular accident was staged along a highway and rescue teams took turns in showcasing first aid and extrication skills. With grace under pressure, Rescue 411 team delivered their very best!

When typhoon Sendong hit the city, Rescue 411 deployed its teams to get people to safety and transport those who were critical.

In the aftermath, Rescue 411 helped in conducting assessments and distributing relief goods to affected families.

Rescue 411 is still in coordination with the OpCen at XU for distributing medicines and relief goods to the survivors.
