DCFI Batch 2020 - 2021

Alhamdulillah! Alhamdulillah! Alhamdulillah!
Greetings of peace,

On the 15th day of April in the holy month of Ramadan. We, the DC-Xanthrons have successfully finished our 1st Iftar Donation Drive towards our chosen torils, Markaz Al yateemat ( https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100087497269178&mibextid=LQQJ4d )
in Saguiran, Marawi City as well as Darul Islaahiyyah litahfeedil Qur’anil kareem ( https://www.facebook.com/darulislaahiyyah2021?mibextid=LQQJ4d )
in Merila, Iligan City.

Through our collective efforts, we have amassed a total of ₱ 9,817 that allowed us to give out approximately 72 iftar lunch packs, 4 sacks of 5kg rice, 4 egg trays, 8 bread loaves, several canned goods, sanitary kits, medicine box, and with the remaining given as monetary aid.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who helped us in this endeavor; Batch Xanthrons, their families & friends, Mr. G**o, Mr. Mandia, and Mr. Sangcopan for helping us reach our destination.
And most especially our donors and benefactors who donated with genuine intent. May ALLAH S.W.T accept all of our good deeds and bless our sacrifices in this holy month.

May this be the start of a blessed endeavor that will continue for more Ramadan to come In Shaa Allah, and we are full of hopes that you will still be with us in the future.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “The best charity is that given in Ramadan.”(Bukhari and Muslim).

As we embark in this blessed month of Ramadan, we also strive to embody the teachings of Islam. As muslims we are hereby encouraged to increase our charitable deeds(Sadaqah) to be able to extend our help to our brothers and sisters in need of assistance. Because of this, We | The Xanthrons | Batch 2021 of Dansalan College Foundation Inc, Iligan branch is knocking on your generous hearts to hear our plea in ensuring that through our collective efforts and in God's will,this would be a success.

We are aiming to provide our target beneficiaries not only food donations but also grocery and hygienic supplies in order to support our needy Muslim brothers and sisters. Abayas, Thobes (Kimon), Prayer Veils (Mukna), Prayer Mats, and other religious attire are also included in this. To be able to help our orphaned brothers and sisters who are in our chosen torils and madrasah, we will need your kind hearts during this donation campaign.

With this, we respectfully knock on your hearts and ask for donations and support for our sincere endeavor in these challenging times from all of our family and friends, highly valued peers, and respected alumni. Charity in Islam: Responsibility of a Muslim

As human beings we have an intrinsic desire to help others in ways we can. Islam, a faith that places a high importance on charitable giving and helping those in need, greatly encourages this attribute. We, muslims are commanded and exhorted to share our blessings with the less fortunate. Not only does charity benefit those who receive it, but it also offers a huge return to those who give it. It is primarily nourishment for the soul and also a way of redemption.

These are the reward for giving charity in Ramadan:

“Ramadan is the month of giving and mercy, and in it, Allah blesses the believers with forgiveness and being saved from Hell fire. Therefore, whoever is merciful and giving in Ramadan, Allah will be even more Merciful and Giving and will bestow upon him countless bounties and blessings."

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) is reported to have said:
“Ramadan is an honourable and blessed month, and the rewards for generosity are multiplied in it.”

As Muslims, it is part of our obligation to assist those in need. As a result, we the DC-Xanthrons are sincerely knocking in your generous hearts to aid in funding this Iftar Donation Drive.

This aims to help our brothers and sisters in Islam who are in need of our assistance, we will provide not only food donations but also grocery and hygienic products to our target beneficiaries. This also includes religious garments: Abayas, Thobes (Kimon), Prayer veils( Mukna), Prayer mats etc. In this donation drive we will need your kind hearts to be able to reach out to our orphaned brothers and sisters who are in our selected Torils and Madrasah.

We are certain that with your help In Shaa Allah, we will be able to help in making a difference. Any amount whether small or large is greatly valued.
