Spiritual Exercise of the Week—The Water of Life
In contemplation or before going to sleep, visualize yourself walking along a beach.
Ahead of you on the sand is a blanket spread with fruit. The Inner Master, the Mahanta, is waiting for you. In his hands he holds a goblet made of precious jewels.
The Mahanta offers you the goblet. "This is the water of life," he says to you. "Take it, and drink."
The water of life is actually the ECK, which is the Light and Sound of God. As you drink of It, visualize the Light and Sound rushing through your being. Know that once you drink of this, you will never be the same. You will always thirst for the waters of heaven.

“Dedicate yourself to God, the Sugmad, when you come to the Temple of ECK. That is and will always be the most important dedication of all.”

“The natural order of life is spiritual unfoldment and growth. Whether anyone likes it, believes in it, or accepts it or not, life says you’re going to grow spiritually.
“Someday you’re going to outgrow your state of consciousness. Someday you’ll become a Coworker with God.
“This is your spiritual destiny.”

Spiritual Exercise of the Week—On the Rooftops
Imagine yourself placing a ladder against the house. Anchor it very securely with ropes, then climb the ladder and sit on the rooftop, staying within reach of the ladder.
Listen for a rushing wind. This is how the ECK, or Holy Spirit, sounds at a certain level when you are listening with the spiritual ears of Soul. Sometimes It comes as a high-energy sound, as though you were standing next to a jet engine, a huge motor, or a dynamo. If you hear It for even a brief time, this is good. It means that the action of the ECK is working in you, purifying and uplifting.
If you're afraid the wind might blow you off the roof, look at it another way: The ECK will blow you into new circumstances in your outer life. As above, so below.
When the sound of the Holy Spirit begins to come through Soul, to purify and cleanse, you can remember the ladder. It's nearby if you need it. Feel secure that you won't be blown off into the dark unknown.
And when the fear subsides, you'll be led into the next step very naturally.

“The path of ECK is to teach us how to get to the kingdom of heaven. But as in games like Monopoly, you don’t bypass jail or any of the problem areas and get to pass ‘go’ again; you have to go through every square. And when you get through them and earn the right to buy Boardwalk or some other expensive place, it’s similar to reaching one of the heavens.
“We have to face this life. The fact is, we do have problems. Most of us would be lost without them. Yet our problems sometimes seem so heavy we cry for help to God, to the angels, or to anyone else who gives us at least a hope of lifting the burden, so we can face life with some measure of happiness, contentment, and peace. This is what many of us are looking for in life.”
—Sri Harold Klemp, “The Secret Teachings,”

“This divine love is working every day in my life and in your life, and in the lives of your friends and family and neighbors. This love is drawing you together. You need people, and they need you.”

Spiritual Exercise of the Week—The Temple Door
This is a very simple exercise to make contact with the Voice of God.
Close your eyes and relax. You are preparing to enter the inner temple, that sacred place where Soul has communication with God. You may see the Light of God first in your Spiritual Eye. You may see It as a Blue Light or a Blue Star. You may see It as a globe or blob of light.
This means you have contact with the highest state of consciousness that is available. It can uplift you to that very same state, too, but not overnight—the shock would be too great.
After you see the Light in your Spiritual Eye or feel It in your heart center, then comes the Sound. The Sound may come first at times.
The Sound may be that of the flute of God which comes from the Soul Plane. Or you may hear the buzzing of bees or any number of different sounds. Later, as you move higher, it may become a very high peeping sound, a single peep so high that it feels as if you can barely reach it.
It is the Voice of God uplifting you.
