Manila Memorial Park

We respectfully request the park admin to reconsider the scheduled roundup of animals within the park until a humane and sustainable solution can be agreed upon. This matter deeply affects the lives of the animals that have long resided in the park, as well as the community members who have been feeding and caring for them.

NO TO ASPIN DISCRIMINATION.

For animal welfare organizations, it is a step back towards inclusivity to learn that some establishments publicize themselves as "pet friendly" and later on misalign with their values.

The recent issue that made rounds online involving an Aspin at Balay Dako serves as a reminder for businesses to take responsibility and uphold the values they promote online. We encourage treating all animals with care and compassion regardless of breed, and for establishments to use their labels wisely. Promotion of animal welfare through tags such as "pet friendly" should be genuine and reflect in day to day interactions without discrimination to native breeds.

ANOTHER WIN FOR ANIMAL WELFARE!

On August 19, Barangay San Antonio, represented by Brgy Captain Thomas Raymond Lising, CARA Welfare Philippines, led by President Nancy Cu Unjieng, and Cats of Ortigas, represented by Patricia de Guzman and Katrina Gomez-Chua, signed a tripartite memorandum of agreement to strengthen the CNVR program and ensure community cat welfare in the Ortigas Central Business District. This partnership marks a significant step forward in promoting humane and sustainable cat population management in Pasig City.

We hope other barangays and cities will follow suit!
