Originally conceptualized by Mx. Karla Colonel year 2008 as part of TAMVOLโs Mascot Duo, TamTam and Volo, we are proud to re-introduce Volo as our Official Mascot.
With a whole new updated look by TAMVOLโs very own, Mx. Sean Patrick Gonzalez and Mx. Hartzell Velayo, Volo represent all Tamaraw Volunteers.
A Tamaraw character with big horns and the green and gold flame as their defining features, Volo resembles the organizationโs logo.
The flame above Voloโs head, in between their horns, symbolizes the spirit of volunteerism, a passion for altruistic service that all TAMVOL members share.
With their adorably soft and cute design, Volo reflects the warmth and approachability of TAMVOL as an organization rooted in volunteerism and genuine service for the community.

On 26 August 2024, we honor the brave souls who fought for the freedom we cherish and stood to protect our country and sovereignty against those who were too greedy for power. Their sacrifices are the foundation of the lives we live today.
We extend our deepest gratitude to these courageous heroes who stood up and gave voice to the silent screams of Filipinos yearning for freedom. Their committed resolution, despite the consequences, brought us the liberty we now enjoy. The journey and struggle to preserve our freedom and peace doesn't end here however.
With this, we at Tamaraw Volunteers-Manila, are committed to playing our part in this ongoing journey. We stand ready to support and contribute to greater change, embodying the spirit of volunteerism and collective effort. As TAMVOL, we continue working together for our calling and embracing the causes that unite us as one.
Lastly, as Filipinos, let us embrace the patriotism that connects us, showing our gratitude by working together for a brighter future. May the courage of our national heroes be our guiding light as we strive to create a better life for every Filipino.

Today, the Philippines celebrates Ninoy Aquino Dayโa day that reminds us of courage, sacrifice, and the enduring spirit of freedom. This honors the life and legacy of Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr., one of the most notable and instrumental figures in the fight for democracy in the Philippines. His stands against oppression have encouraged and inspired the people for the restoration of democracy in our nation.
Ninoy Aquino's life and death are a testament to the power of resilience and hope. We, the Filipino citizens, should be reminded of his never-failing dedication to his political ideologies and his martyrdom that prompted the beginning of the People Power Revolution, which led to the end of the dictatorial regime of the time. Symbolically, we recognize this day with acts of remembering and tribute, reflecting his integrity and courage that he upheld.
Together with Tamaraw Volunteers-Manila, as we commemorate the life and death of Ninoy Aquino, we encourage each and every one of us to reflect and honor his legacy. May his courage and vision for a brighter, better nation inspire todayโs youth to strive and uphold values of democracy and justice. May his legacy ignite the driven spirit within us to fight for what is right and to seek the best for our nationโs future. Lastly, may his words, "The Filipino is worth dying for," continue to resonate in the hearts of the nation today.

On 06 August 2024, dedicated student volunteers from Tamaraw Volunteers-Manila, of their own will and initiative, extended a helping hand for Relief Operations in Malanday Elementary School, Marikina City. This initiative spearheaded by the FEU Alumni Relations Office and the Nicanor Reyes Memorial Foundation is for the benefit of families in the area devastated by Super Typhoon Carina.
In a remarkable display of solidarity and compassion, the FEU ARO and NRMF Team together with the student volunteers from TAMVOL and other FEU Organizations managed to distribute a total of 500 packs of assorted relief goods to the community.
Through participation in this truly impactful community work, the volunteers of TAMVOL embody the mission and core essence of the organization, to be always present and ready to help out whenever needed.
All that being said, the organization would like to also take this opportunity to thank all the gracious donors for their continued support in this initiative, we couldn't have done it without you. To the FEU Alumni Relations Office, Nicanor Reyes Memorial Foundation, and all other FEU Organizations who came together to make this initiative a success, it was our utmost pleasure working with you all. Here's to more collaborations ahead for the good of the community.

On 2 August 2024, Tamaraw Volunteers-Manila joined the FEU Nicanor Reyes Memorial Foundation (NRMF) and FEU Alumni Relations Office (ARO) in the Brigada Eskwela operations at Balanti Elementary School in Cainta, Rizal. With this, we extend our sincerest gratitude to the aforementioned offices for allowing us to be a part of this wonderful initiative.
With ten passionate TAMVOL members pouring their hearts and energy into the activities, painting chairs, tables, railings, and even doors, all tasks were completed successfully and despite all the odds, our volunteers remained steadfast and motivated, dedicated to the cause. On top of this, we also had the chance to meet other volunteers from different universities and organizations who have the same passion for selfless service.
To see the smiles on students' faces is the greatest reward for our efforts. While the paint marks on our skin and clothing may wash away, the hope we hold for the younger generation will last forever. This is for you, dear students! May your vivid hopes and dreams for the future come to fruition.

Congratulations to TAMVOL's very own Mx. Hans Gabriel Empleo and Suzanne Angela Dela Cruz, for both qualifying for different prestigious international programs.
Mx. Empleo, TAMVOL's Vice President for Internal Affairs, has secured the position to be one of the two Official Far Eastern University Representatives in Hungkuang University's International Summer Student Program in Taiwan, where they would partake in a diverse set of hands-on courses, Mandarin studies, and Cultural tours in and around Taichung City.
Mx. Dela Cruz, TAMVOL's Executive Consultant, has been selected as Far Eastern University's Official Representative to participate in Universitas Negeri Malang International Camp 2024 in East Java, Indonesia. Out of over 250 applicants from 47 different countries, Mx. Dela Cruz secured the position for FEU's involvement as 1 of the 45 participants of the program wherein they would engage in activities such as Indonesian Language Learning, Arts and Culture workshops, and opportunities for diverse multicultural learning.
The invitation and endorsement for this amazing opportunity is courtesy of the FEU International Relations Office (IRO) in collaboration with FEU Student Development (SDev).
The entire Tamaraw Volunteers-Manila family is incredibly excited for you both as you brave these amazing multicultural opportunities head on. We certainly couldn't be any prouder.

๐ ๐ช๐๐ฆ๐ง ๐ฃ๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ฃ๐๐ก๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ | THAT WHICH IS RIGHTFULLY OURS
Ownership disputes in the West Philippine Sea have been a major concern since the 1970s, impacting both border security and the livelihoods of Filipino fishermen. On 12 July 2016, our country achieved a legal victory in the Hague Ruling, which is now commemorated on its 8th anniversary on 12 July 2024.
The international arbitration case decisively rejected China's expansive claims over the South China Sea. Therefore, the Hague Ruling firmly upheld and declared that China's activities and its claims based on the nine-dash line have no legal basis under UNCLOS. Despite all of that, China continues to assert its territorial rights in our own sea. In a recent incident in the West Philippine Sea, tensions escalated as a Filipino soldier obtained serious injuries and significant damages on our Philippine Navy boats in a confrontation with Chinese Coast Guard (CCG) officers during a military resupply mission to Ayungin Shoal.
This issue was also addressed in the third State of the Nation Address (SONA) recently. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. emphasized that the Philippines "cannot yield" or "waver" in defending its rights over the West Philippine Sea, which also means the nation's firm stance on its territorial rights. He even asserted that the West Philippine Sea is not merely an abstract concept but an integral part of the nation's identity.
Moreover, the importance of the West Philippine Sea extends beyond geographical boundaries; it is a representation of the Filipino people's spirit and determination, particularly those who risk their lives on a daily basis to protect our sovereignty. Their courage and sacrifices are living proof of the resilience and determination of the Filipino people. They remind us that the West Philippine Sea is not just a matter of national identity but a critical part of the livelihoods and safety of countless Filipinos who depend on its resources and security.
As time passes, the abuse of the territorial rights of our country continues to aggravate. China is unwilling to comply with international maritime laws that unequivocally grant the Philippines full rights over the region. With this, we will no longer tolerate such actions that continuously put our people and country in danger. As we stand and fight, we will not stay silent while our fellow Filipinos face disrespect in our own waters.
Tamaraw Volunteers-Manila stands firm with championing , emphasizing that, as one, we must protect our peace and freedom. It is important that we remain aware and critical of the current issues in the West Philippine Sea. This extends beyond the protection of our military and fishermenโit is a matter of maintaining our nation's fundamental rights to sovereignty and security.
Let us all be part of the discussion and actively engage in this important matter.
TamVol amplifies โthe call to advocate for the greater good and our nationโs rights in the West Philippine Sea, while emphasizing peaceful, lawful resolution. We urge our government to take active measures to protect Filipinos.
Together with our fellow citizens, we aspire to have a future of mutual respect and adherence to international law.

The Red Rainfall Warning, as well as a State of Calamity, has already been declared in Metro Manila and surrounding areas due to the increasing strength of Super Typhoon Carina. With that in mind, here are a few tips to ensure you and your loved ones stay safe throughout the storm.
1. ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ป๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ about your local area's current status, evacuation plans, and emergency hotlines. Knowing exactly when and where to evacuate as things escalate is essential, and in case of emergency situations, it's good to know exactly who to call. Listen to your local government's announcements and instructions.

As part of the recently concluded volunteering opportunity with Angat Buhay, their team graciously extended a warm welcome to members of Tamaraw Volunteers-Manila at the Museo ng Pag-Asa last 28 June 2024.
The volunteers were given an inspiring tour and learned all about how the museum came to be as we know it today. Volunteers were told in great detail, the stories of each and every part of the museum, its artworks, and displays.
By showcasing the organization's humble beginnings, Angat Buhay and the Museo ng Pag-asa serves as proof of what is possible when people come together with passion and initiative towards a common goal.
